It's too bad that Ginnis had to miss the Olympics last year due to injury, but I'm excited to see what he can do in 2026. Our best ever placing at the Winter Olympics (in any sport) was 13th, so I hope he can break that record

The situation you refer to was probably Katja Koren winning Flachau Super G with bib #66 in 1993. I don't remeber seeing that live on TV. One year later Koren won Olympic bronze in slalom with bib #33.

I once was in the stadium for a  v  Rugby International - think it was 1983 - when we could not see even halfway across the pitch.  You just had to judge from the cheering on the other side to know what was happening.

I've said this before, Poland will NOT boycott the 2024 SOG even if Russia/Belarus athletes compete as neutrals. This is a weak bluff with jack high. Everyone here knows it and no Polish politician will die on this hill when the chips are down. The intense backlash over the 1984 boycott that ultimately led to nothing is still very much alive in Polish memory.
