If you want to see two goals (one off a throw-in
) in less than 3 minutes from kick-off here's your chance:
Apparently it's the fastest two goals conceded by Poland NT since Sweden scored two in opening six minutes back in 1964
-
Consolation goal off a corner in 87th minute. Doesn't matter.
wins 3-1. One of the worst matches from
in the last decade or maybe even XXI century
-
3-0 Czech Republic! Kuchta scores in 65th minute
Made Kiwior look like an Arsenal bench player indeed.
-
It's also a record for us as the Krejci goal after 28 seconds is the fastest goal ever conceded by Poland NT
I don't have access to Czech history books but Tomas Cvancara scoring three minutes into his NT debut could also be some record?

In Poland the mandatory retirement age is 65 for men and 60 for women. When Civic Platform raised the retirement age to 67 & 65 they were swiftly voted out of power at the next elections
Law & Justice lowered the retirement age down to the previous/current mark.

King Charles state visit postponed due to the street riots

More details on the
/
ban:
The Good News! Your doping suspension has been lifted!
The Bad News! Your war suspension is beginning!
In hindsight I think this is a big win for Russia. Lifting that state-sponsored doping ban would always be the more difficult task and could have been extended indefinitely. Now it's gone and people don't notice it since the war is more important. After the war ends you will be Russians reinstated into competition and many people will wonder what happened with the doping ban.

Biden is against asylum-seekers after all. So much for the liberal & progressive politics

0-0 draw vs Luxembourg. Yeah, I'd say Slovakian football is not doing great here.
Poland plays Czech Republic in Prague tomorrow so let's see how the Santos era begins

at the head of a motorcade, I suppose ?
Nope! It was running under it's own power with all four wheels on the ground

as an old proverb here says: more people can fit in an East German Trabant than we have in the stadium today
Ah yes, Trabant jokes. Sadly I'm old enough to remember these vehicles being operational
The last one I saw moving from point A to B was 2006 IIRC

Plus as far as I remember, the Torun events are often more than excellent, in terms of organization as well as atmosphere.
It's kinda funny since Bydgoszcz has the big outdoor stadium which is basically the #1 facility for athletics in Poland (save for Chorzów for historical reasons) and Toruń has build the indoor athletics arena. Both cities are separated by like 50 km distance and they have a long-standing rivalry for exposure in the region

Well, Kostyuk couldn't handle Potapova at all. Played a terrible match and lost 1-6 3-6
Handshake ignored like expected.

Who do so few countries want to host indoor events. Poland, Serbia and the UK seem always be hosting them.
I don't really know. Could be something venue related. I mean even Holland hosted their indoor nationals at the converted velodrome in Appeldorn. I suppose such makeshift arenas won't pass for a global championships. Not to mention some warm weather countries don't really build many indoor arenas for athletics? I believe France and Germany have many arenas like that but that is about it.

9th place for
Ekaterina Kurakova after SP, would be a huge success if she remained in Top 10 after free.

Don't forget Sara Errani's "my mom's cancer medicin fell in the pasta sauce and that's why I was caught", Erik Dekker's "it's because the thing around my arm was too tight and so the blood values got higher" and Alex Schwazer's "it's just that everyone is conspiring against me"
Technically speaking she blamed it on tortellini
