The Ruhpolding & Oberhof races are always the same for years. TV focuses on star names no matter how good or bad they are doing, a ton of meaningless passages from the course while some less known names are shooting but we get no sight of them. Hell, let's show some trees & snow falling too! They can't even stick to the Top 10 starting because hey, let's follow a guy for the first 800 meters of the course!

Vonn 10th in first Cortina DH training only 0,03 behind Stuhec in 9th.

Classic German TV directing in Ruhpolding. They miss JTB to focus on Benedikt Doll closing on the finish. And Doll missed T.Boe's time by less than 2 secs.

Shiffrin with a relaxed 2nd run and still 1,21 secs ahead. Worley 2nd. Bassino 3rd.

Shiffrin 1,39 secs. faster than anyone in Top 7 group in Kronplatz

Krystyna Guzik would be available. She's 36 this year and obviously shut down from our A team.

Greco-Roman Wrestling is one of the Founding Fathers of the modern Olympic Games (and "the history" of all the wrestling disciplines)...

if something in that field has to be removed, that's Freestyle Wrestling, which is just a later addiction to please the Americans (who have the Pro Wrestling career in mind already when started the College/Olympic Wrestling) and the non-European Nations (Asian more than others)...

Spot on. Freestyle wrestling is only there to please the Americans. Greco-Roman is the core of all the combat sports at the Olympics. Removing this would mark the start of the true commercial era in Olympics. It's commercial enough already but some niche sports otherwise practiced for thousands of years are still there. Adding e-sports is so lame I can't even think of what drives these people to even considering such a stupid choice ($$$).

Reducing quotas in gymnastics would hamper one-event speciallists, right? Do they still qualify via all-around (minus the WC gold medallists).

These Swiss guards could become useful, maybe in shooting or some obscure sport nobody pays attention to outside of the Olympics? Athletics? Not so much. Maybe in Mediterranen Games?
