I am pretty sure this never happened before, considering that Hungarian cycling was always weak. I knew that Valter was somewhat talented, he won the Tour de Hongrie last year, but this is still crazy.4 points -

Weightlifting Qualification to Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games
thiago_simoes and one other reacted to MHSN for a topic
81kg both guys participating at this event didn't improve their points. and World Juniors won't change the ranking I believe the followings are 100%safe Pizzolato (Top 8) Bonnat (Top 8) Rejepov (Top 8) Maurus (Top 8) Suharevs (Top 8) Muller (Top 8) Mata (Top 8 or Europe) Bahloul (Africa) These guys most probably will go too McTaggart (Oceania) Lyu I didn't put McTaggart in the safe zone only because a guy from Australia (who also qualifies at 73kg) is above him. but I think the Australian will pick 73 and McTaggart will qualify at 81 of course if NZL accepts the quota. Mendez is almost safe too. but a guy from Cuba who will participate at 89kg tonight can take his place but he most probably picks 96kg (and not 81kg) I will update this section after knowing his results tonight. Mendez most probably will join the "safe list" tonight only 2 quotas are left. Rodallegas of Colombia will take one of them if they are not suspended. if they are by any chance, ESP will be in top 8 and the European quota goes to Beytula (BUL) but we heard from the Bulgarian users that he is out of the picture. so Qerimaj qualifies in that case. and from what I see nobody is going to take the Asian quota ! UZB will send 2 medal contenders in 67 and 109. Ajay Singh (IND) is suspended for doping, PRK is withdrawing, JPN has 6 better weightlifters in other weights, the Iranian guy Soltani injured himself badly at the Asian Champs (he wouldn't be selected anyway), Iraq is facing suspension. the only possibility is Ulanov (KAZ), but they also can send only 1 male weightlifter and probably Igor Son in 61kg has a better chance.2 points -

Weightlifting Qualification to Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games
Grillinhoo reacted to MHSN for a topic
I can confirm this part. if Japan fails to qualify 4, all of their weightlifters will be removed from the ranking. that will make lots of changes from the official document In case the Host Country (Japan) does not qualify 4 quota places (World + Continental Points),athletes from the Host Country (Japan) are removed and the Absolute Ranking is updated1 point -

Japan has 3 quotas guaranteed in each gender. if they wanted more they had to qualify 4 through the ranking. that's what they will do in the men's section. I think even if they qualify 3 that's like doing nothing, they will remove all Japanese weightlifters from the list and then they can pick 3 as "host"1 point -
now let me answer you with FACTS, I've attached an article about the subject so you can read and learn beyond what i write, and i welcome you to send factual things and not this BS propganda, and now for the "main" deal here, in the mid 19th century, jews bought *leagaly* houses from the ottman empire and even later on from the british empire in "Shimon Hazadik" and "Sheikh Jarreh" neigberhoods, jews lived there untill 1948 when the area became under Jordanian control, and the jewish residents had to leave, between 1948-1967 jordan gave the houses to palestinian families, after 1967 the area moved to Israeli control and then the Israeli-jewish home owners and their familis has asked for their homes back, so first thing , this has started 40+ years ago!!, jump foword and jewish orgenazations started to offer palsetinian(not those in the jewish owned houses) money in order to purches their houses, some agree and some not, agian this neigberhood is holly in both islam and judaism. going back to the 1967 case, the entire saga has gone to high courts, eventually there was a sattle that the land is belong to the jews but kindly enough they will not evacuate the palestinians but rather they will pay them rents. from there on those families who were discussed now *did not payed rent even once* so now according to Israel's (and other countries laws) renters who are not paying rents need to be evicted. so why they did not payed?some because of the prncipals of not aknowlaging Israel, some because the Palestinian athourety promeised to pay for them but they never did. in 2019 a jewiish settelment named Amona were destroyed by our goverment, because A palestinian brought a file dated to 1909 that he bought this land from the otteman empire, the jews from the start has the same files as well, this is not somthing that happend out of thin air, like western media trying to picture it but rather legal argue that one side decided not to follow , knowing that it's always picture like the Evil israel is picking the poor, but this is not the case, this is an exemple of democratic state acting like democracy honestly the rockets are remotely related to this subject and amazingly after 40+ years this has become a world problem.. https://jcpa.org/article/the-u-s-israeli-dispute-over-building-in-jerusalem-the-sheikh-jarrah-shimon-hatzadik-neighborhood/1 point

Always the same: Hamas leaders boast & act the big hero when it is just ordinary, low-ranked Palestinians being killed. They’re the first to run away & beg for mercy when the Israelis manage to target the leaders themselves. Has been going on for decades, yet the rest of the world keeps falling for the con trick. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9574147/Netanyahu-rejects-Hamas-ceasefire-plea-nine-commanders-neutralised.html1 point -

2021 Junior Pan American Games Postponed to November
Laraja reacted to Olympian1010 for an article
The Cali-Valle 2021 Junior Pan American Games will now take place between November 25 and December 5. The Covid-19 pandemic has claimed yet another victim in the world of international multi-sports games. The 2021 Junior Pan American Games originally scheduled to be held from September 9 to September 19 have been postponed by around two and a half months and will now open in late November. According to Panam Sports, the Pan American region has been one of the most affected by Covid-19. While Panam Sports and local organizers were encouraged by the recent progress in vaccinations around the region, they still felt like there was more work to be done in the fight against Covid-19. Speaking on the decision to postpone, Panam Sports President Neven Ilic, said the following remarks, “After several months of meetings with the Colombian authorities, we have adopted this measure that we believe is the best option to protect the health of our young athletes. We want to give more time for both the organizing country and the participating nations to advance in their vaccination processes. This will allow more delegations and the largest number of people to be inoculated against Covid-19 when the Games begin.” Cali-Valle 2021 Executive Director, Jose Luis Echeverry, also spoke about the decision to postpone. He stated, “The decision we have made is very positive. It will be very beneficial to be able to wait a little longer given the emergency caused by Covid-19 not only in Colombia, but throughout the continent. With this new date, it gives us the possibility of having safer Games for everyone because when the time comes, we will have a higher vaccination rate in the host country.” The first Junior Pan American Games of Cali 2021 will bring together more than 3,800 athletes from 41 countries who will compete in 39 disciplines. The gold medalist(s) in each sport will automatically qualify for the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games. Further information about the Games can be found at www.calivalle2021.com or www.panamsports.org.1 point -

Halep with a calf injury, may kiss RG goodbye. But, what about Kerber - bringing a chair, sitting next to Halep and then carrying her bag for her.1 point -
Yeah, amazing. I know Serena hasn't played since Australia and she isn't a force in clay since 2016, but still, one of the biggest wins ever for argentinian tennis. Nadia now 3/3 vs top 10 players, incredible. And now she has a very open draw with Osaka and Halep out in her section, let's see if she can keep the momentum. BTW, it seems Halep had a bad injury. I read she could miss several weeks, hope she recovers well because she really wanted to play in the Olympics.1 point

We still don't know who produced the positive test, but the scandal is getting bigger: Péter Sidi has been suspended by the Hungarian Shooting Federation because without permission he entered István Péni's room during the Delhi World Cup and stayed there for 45 minutes. Péni wasn't in the room at that time, but there's undisputable evidence from the security footage. The federation will now conduct a disciplinary procedure against Sidi. I think there's a chance that Sidi's quota will be rejected and then reallocated.1 point

oh well . that was a very sad end for Moradi's Olympic hopes. he lifted 170kg, got 3 white lights, but Jury rejected it. he came back and lifted that again but injured his hand while he was going to drop the weight can't remember the last time I was this sad about a sport event. he went through 2 surgeries, tried hard for a year for this. got injured again in training. still came here to make the cut, again injured. this is probably the end of the road for him0 points -
