Great tactics by Simon at the end there.  Well deserved win over Eckhoff and Norway.  Exciting race, that was fun to watch!

I remembered it during race that he hadn't raced in the Individual perhaps that helped. I'd have loved to see them dominate the race  with any of their top 2 men  but maybe they are tired after yesterday ,so I expected them to race since tomorrow is anyhow off day

What a poor race for the US.  But my prediction for the number of lapped teams was also too many.  Good to see so many finish.

What a cruel end for Italy, pretty much leading the entire race and then that last shooting 

 

Julia Simon is a big mystery  She was doing so poorly at these championships in terms of shooting and for the single mixed she missed what, twice iirc? And that impressive last lap against Eckhoff  Everytime she seems toast during the last lap she manages to find an additional strength to finish ahead.

Anyway, very happy for her first WCh medal and Guigonnat's first WCh gold medal, after being in the shadows last season.

Interesting how Fak was the one, who blew up our chances for top 8. Not looking good for Mass Start, but than again, he had even worse days and ended with climax.
