if only De Tullio could match his PB* (1.45.70) in the first leg, we could pull out a miracle bronze in this damn relay :nopompom:

*or our coaches could find someone else replacing him...why not Ceccon? (waiting for Ballo and Galossi to comeback and Ragaini to improve to this level) :wall:

Great 1:44.79 by Märtens in the 200 free. The more i watch swimming the more i realize that it is completely absurd that there are olympic events in different strokes. There should only be freestyle (individual and relays). All other strokes are basically: Let's find out who can swim the fastest while not using the fastest technique possible ... pure insanity.

Everyone swimming PBs for the Dutch today! Steenbergen, Schouten, Corbeau and Korstanje all improving their PBs and with the exception of Steenbergen also the NR.

And two medals as well, really impressive!

Crazy performance so far. I thought that 1 medal by Schouten would be possible, but now it is already 3 and Korstanje might win one as well. I don't see Kamminga doing anything next year, but the other two could repeat in Paris.

Interesting that the US has more individual finals in olympic disciplines than France, GB, Canada and Japan combined.

Australia has as many individual finals in olympic disciplines as Germany, Italy, Hungary and the Netherlands combined.

The Netherlands has as many individual finals in olympic disciplines as South Korea, Brazil and Ukraine combined.
