    Ah, come on you can’t get a medal everywhere. Plus Matt still has a fair chance for a medal.

    Clem bottled it in that last section, shame, he could be an Olympic medalist if he didn’t make that mistake.

    Zenhausern’s run could already be enough for a medal. Not many at the start will handle the pressure or they’ll go all-or-nothing.

    Gisin has this win, she’s always great at combined slaloms.

    I wonder if two young Bulgarian skiers will be able to make the transition, Popov and especially Zlatkov are quite talented and I’d love to see new countries at the top of skiing.

    I like to follow European Cup results and since last year I’ve been noticing/saying how good Noel is. His run to the top has been really fast though, you have some guys that start great but somehow end up being stuck at 31-35 place in the start list and starting with bibs 45+ (Hadalin) or from great performances in EC to tragic runs in World Cup (Vidovic), but Noel just jumped over those problems like a kangaroo and could already win a medal here. Amazing.

    Well after her biggest rival this season got injured, she’s obviously remained as the biggest favorite.

    I was afraid she came back to soon and she probably did let’s be honest considering she injured her ACL in October(?), but that was a monster run from Thompson. Hopefully no collision for her in the heats. Still doubt she can endanger Sandra, but Sandra usually gains the most at the start and I doubt you can gain that much at this one.

    I’ve read somewhere he was so annoyed about losing he actually trained for parallel disciplines as well before this season for a change.

    Feller, Aerni and Vlhova might have a PTSD from these Olympics.

    I think if Hirscher won today he’d withdraw from the team event, but now I think he could be on the start on Saturday

    Scandinavians are ruling this run! After all, you have to admit Mhyrer slalom result at Olympics are just amazing, he really knows when to turn up the extra gear

    Sweden should still be okay for women’s ski cross though. But at the same time if Mikaela didn’t win a slalom medal, even Naeslund isn’t a guarantee despite her dominance.

    Okay podium, could be better with Chapuis or VOR but at least there’s no huge one-race wonders.

    Flisar 8th in 2010, 6th in 2014, 7th in 2018. At least he’s consistent.

    With the exception of Ridzik, 2nd semifinal does feel awfully weak. Especially since I expected a VON, Chapuis, Ridzik, Wahrstoetter SF.

    Chapuis is out before the semifinals Only French guy in the semifinals is Bovolenta aka their worst chance at the medal, after they sweeped in Sochi.

    Flisar will most likely end up in a small final for 3rd consecutive Olympics.

    Eckert was never a big favorite for a medal anyway, despite his Nakiska success. Maybe disappointing he didn’t qualify for 1/4 finals but he had Chapuis in his group and Duncan had a surprisingly amazing run. Eckert’s run was bound to end in QFs with Chapuis, Ridzik and Place anyway.

    Surprised to see Fiva out so soon too, but other than Kappacher that was a tough quarterfinal.

    Still Italy has been mediocre these Olympics, where did they overperform then?

    So many favorites out already, 3 of them being injured as well, it really is a crazy track as they described it. Are they planning on reducing the jumps or putting women on a different track, cause that might not end well

    Oh shit, I don’t like Delbosco, but that fall was so scary. I hope he’s okay, but doesn’t look so.
