  1. Oh come on. Opinions and beliefs, sure, but "no one can name what Muslims came up with" is just nonsense. That's like saying "what did China ever contribute in the last 3000 years?" and seriously saying the answer is "nothing".
  2. Jeez. Wishing the Ukrainian team all the best, truly, but kinda cheering a bit extra for Kovtun now if these are the reactions he gets.
  3. Ugh, what's with athletes receiving actual hate when they make a choice for their nationality? Especially if he had trained there for years, it's just not that weird to compete for them..
  4. Haha, Alcaraz finishing it off with a truly superb passing ball, in fitting style
  5. Imagine having three match points in a Grand Slam final at 0-40, losing five consecutive points and then losing the match. Alcaraz on his way to a mightily deserved title
  6. Biggest thing for today, but also the most unlikely due to weather, would be the Senior TT on the Isle of Man, where it's been a tough week of postponements and such (as is often the case). The rest of the day is mostly catching up, still on things from March, April and May
  7. Meanwhile in the world's biggest kindergarten, Trump and Musk have disagreed on something, so now they're calling each other names like 5-year olds at school, except they have nothing more important to do than go to their social media all goddamn day long to do so It is kind of hilarious.
  8. Luckily leaving the EU saved everything.
  9. The Dutch pair isn't sure they'll continue their career, they have at least made the choice to sit out 2025.
  10. That's the kind of government that just blew up, thanks to Wilders and his cronies.
  11. We'll get elections later this year by the way, as Geert Wilders has bombed the coalition (later than expected, he is after all not in any way made to rule, but made to just stand at the sidelines and yell that everything everyone does is wrong) and it has now fallen.
  12. Ah, the 'Pulling a Trump' move.
  13. As any self-respecting president does.
  14. I truly hope he didn't have any energy left anymore and he just managed to make it look like he was all ok (because he looked like that the entire way). Comments on the Dutch corners of the internet are....not positive, to say the least Mildest one so far.. User A: "I was away today, looks like I missed something?" User B: "You missed Del Toro's rapid rise to the lead of the all time dumbest rider rankings." It's just such a shame too.
  15. The entire ride and now also the entire behavior around and after the finish just feels...off. This is just so weird, it's almost like he either wasn't allowed or didn't want to win. Well, Yates it is.
  16. On the day where in a game where you can choose one rider per day and every team can only be chosen once, I picked Chris Harper of all people.
  17. I mean, he rides like he is not in any physical trouble at all, and judging by that, they are actually making the conscious choice not to win this Giro. It is outright bizarre.
  18. This showing by Del Toro (and in a lesser sense Carapaz) is truly one of the most astonishing bits of outright surrender I have ever seen. Just...wow.
  19. Del Toro keeps trying to force Carapaz to ride for it, and in doing so, kind of throws away his chance for the overall victory. Unreal tactics, sadly that looks like a distinct lack of experience showing up right when it matters..
  20. Meanwhile the big question of the last 10 minutes of the climb has been where Wout van Aert is, considering he'd be expected to wait for Yates and potentially be crucial for him. Yates has reaached the top however, and there's still no sign of Van Aert.
  21. On the climb where 7 years ago he went from pink and a stage away from the win to losing 35 minutes.
  22. Huh, Yates with the attack, didn't see that coming
