  1. I get that a country like Brazil is hard as shit to defend from a situation like this, I really do. Even so, it's like that braindead idiot is doing absolutely everything he can to make it even worse, unbelievable. By the way, I thought (most of) the state governors were pretty much against him by now? Obviously I don't follow it as much as you, so probably I missed something.
  2. Hopefully they quickly find and lock up these people. The tragedy is not a reason to literally tear apart a store, that's just looking for an excuse to be a criminal.
  3. Not either "total genius" or "can't talk to anyone"? That sounds promising.
  4. You're now best friends forever with @Olympian1010, who'll wake up in the middle of the night to watch the South Pacific Youth Water Sports Games Welcome!
  5. Is there a lot of reference between these Marvel series? I wouldn't like Arrow references in The Flash for example if I'd only watch The Flash
  6. To be fair, I have it on good authority that the Akhal-teke absolutely rules the world, so don't count them out..
  7. I started with Arrow...then came The Flash...and yeah, then the ball was rolling Crossovers aren't 1% as fun without watching all shows involved, so there you go Like I said, pretty alright for some light entertainment, nothing too serious. I never started with any Marvel thing, and don't think I ever will
  8. I didn't know you could baptize bees But everyone who places beehives in these rather terrible times for bees deserves credit for it, they're sadly not exactly on the rise..
  9. Black Lightning wasn't full enough with all kinds of cliches yet, so they had to come up with this classic It's a little annoying how this show portrays the predominantly black population of the city in which it takes place...they pretty much fall into three categories, none of which are good: 1. Far from smart, pretty much never acting in any sort of rational way - maybe one or two exceptions 2. Insanely irresponsible and just going at it without a second thought every time, generally of course that ends up causing injuries or worse 3. Very smart, but then being pulled into the criminal life and within days looking as if that's what they were born for, all of a sudden becoming downright evil Well, still good for some fun and light entertainment, and every show has it's flaws...this one just has a lot I'd just have thought (and hoped) they would paint the population of the city in a bit of a better light, considering.
  10. That looks like a pretty awesome place. Plus a smaller stadium with full stands is always better than a big stadium with half-empty stands.
  11. Wow, you can call that 'getting screwed'.
  12. Well you know, before he died three years ago (in Leclerc's utterly dominant F2 season, where he won in Baku a couple of days after the death of his father and overall just punished everyone for the entire year).
  13. Damn, I wish we'd see that..
  14. With obligatory non-testing for COVID-19 because it's too much like a vaccine and those give you *insertdiseaseordisorder*?
  15. I'd say it's the background effect.
  16. Oh boy, rarely have I seen a cuter animal
  17. Wow, that's almost sort of like half the sports out there.
  18. He didn't 'hire' a gamer, and as they had already said in a public live stream before Saturday's race: like half of the drivers he doesn't care about the position he's in. You could have easily seen that in the live streams during the races where he was often in the back half of the field, he was still very much having fun, which is what these things are about (or should be about). If the plan was to cheat, they'd at least have used VPN connections or something, but they didn't...for the rather simple reason that it wasn't done to cheat, it was done to pull a bit of a prank and afterwards show that to everyone (again, as they had pretty much discussed already during a public live stream with a good amount of viewers). People can like his prank, people can not like his prank, fine, as long as people don't go around telling utter bullshit like saying he was trying to cheat.
  19. Too bad it's in German, not sure how many non-Germans here will understand it. Haven't watched the whole thing yet, but I definitely feel sympathy for him. So far, basically the point is: there are two groups of racers in these Race at Home races. One group who takes it very serious, and another who is in it mostly for fun and to give the fans some fun stuff as entertainment. Abt is clearly in the second group, and during some other races the idea popped up - with at least a thousand viewers in the live stream, it was all public when they were talking about this - to have a pro sim racer take his place. He doesn't give a rat's ass about the position in the race, but "it'd be fun to see how it goes and how he does against these real racers, meanwhile we're making a video of it and after the race we'll show it to the fans." The basic point was to pull a bit of a prank, give the fans a laugh and that's it. Yeah, I can perfectly get he didn't expect people to absolutely knock his virtual head off for it as if he'd just killed a baby in a live stream.
  20. Overreactions galore in two months of virtual racing Anyway, dumb move by him, even being the son of the team boss is not likely to help him out in this case - considering his mediocre results lately they might have been looking for replacement anyway, a tiny excuse could have been all that was needed.
  21. Yeah, I'm very glad the Christian people I know are pretty much the opposite of all of this - and are definitely not 'Bolsominions'. The service I went to wasn't in a big church by the way, there may have been not more than 100 people. I do hope to go back to Brazil in the future of course, and when I do, I hope I can go there again - I'd be interested in talking with the guy who was leading the service, just to get a better impression of him. About point 2), I'm hopeful about the people in the service I went to, since the gist of the guy's story was basically "you get back what you put into something", which - unlike "the devil causes it!" - is something I can pretty much agree with. It doesn't always work of course, lazy and shitty people do get good things sometimes and amazing, wonderful and hard-working people sadly sometimes get shitty stuff, but in general I think it's a good idea to live by. Anyhow, your entire story reminded me of a few words I heard a while back: "You choose your friends, but you don't choose your family." That's about right, I hope you've also got some people around you who don't give two shits about whether you fall for men, women or both, as long as you're happy. As for the Netherlands: we don't have that many people so strongly like this here (they exist, of course, but not in such huge numbers), when it comes to religion the bigger problem in terms of accepting things like people who don't believe or people who happen to be guy comes from the Muslim community. Quite a large number* seem to think it's perfectly fine to yell at you or knock you out if you're gay or not a Muslim or - if you're a girl - just an overall whore. You know, because they can see your arm skin or something. *obviously not all, and it's sensitive to even mention it, which is why I'm stressing the 'obviously not all' part
  22. Yep Tour of California, the race where Toms Skujins always went from being mediocre to being awesome I wish he'd show his California mojo more often, in bigger races, he's got the potential and (and this is sort of rare) the will to attack all the time
