  1. List C for the Southern Pacific Ocean, there she is. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropical_cyclone_naming
  2. Austra Skujyte has the decathlon world record, so there's hope
  3. No! How can you even think of sending someone who projects that much negativity to a place with that much positivity? Might as well send another Hurricane Maria/Irma that way, that'd do less damage.
  4. Wonderful idea! Buy her right now if possible, Tokyo 2020 won't fall within the 3-year deadline so that'd be good
  5. Ever since switching from heptathlon to full-time sprinter, she's become more and more and more 'arrogant', irritating, angry at everyone, blindly mad as soon as anyone says a fact like 'hey, three years ago you were faster'. She has become pure madness and surely the average Dutch person likes her (because she wins a few medals and coincidentally has the same nationality in her passport as them, so hey, gotta cheer for her!), but among athletics fans (in the Netherlands) she is very, very quickly losing her popularity. Basically she is one of the most negative people we have in the Dutch world of sports.
  6. I wouldn't want to do that to @Xander, although it is amusing when she gets shoethrowingly mad.
  7. I truly wonder why women's decathlon is not being added as a 'thing' yet. I mean, awesome events are being thrown out of the window left and right to make space for women's events (even if they're not competitive), all in the name of gender equality, yet women still have to accept doing 'only' 7 events, jumping over lower hurdles (and a shorter distance), throwing lighter weights and so on. The whole thing of these special women's weights/heights and only 7 events says "women are not as good as men", which is quite odd to be accepted nowadays.
  8. Hassan is actually quite likeable as well, always friendly and polite to everyone and always being quite modest about herself. Too bad she's training with that shady dude in the US though. Churandy Martina and Liemarvin Bonevacia are some of the most chill athletes ever (I guess the Netherlands Antilles have a positive spirit) as well. It's just a matter of waiting for Turkey or Azerbaijan to please help us get rid of Schippers.
  9. Actually it's quite a decent result (not 'great', could have been a meter or so more, but not bad), her 58m is just a huge outlier
  10. And there's a free extra attempt to kinda prove your point wrong
  11. That might be it indeed, thanks. I knew she had died, but it was already almost one and a half month ago so I didn't realize it would be about her.
  12. Do you know why there have been Polish athletes wearing a black ribbon or something? Did someone in/around the team die recently? Dutch Eurosport commentators were wondering.
  13. Apparently it has to land with the front part first and it was indeed too flat.
  14. She is working on the wrong javelin with Jakub.
  15. Motos are about to start, which is a boatload of races
  16. Terribly sad photo from Norway. Skofterud was buried yesterday and her coffin was carried by her father, brother, Marit Bjoergen, Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg, Kristin Stoermer Steira and Therese Johaug.
