  1. Because they have athletes who like the sport? And yeah, there are plenty of coaches who don't give two craps about whether or not they're athletes are happy. I'm no athlete and still noticed he's just a very pleasant person to talk with
  2. Yes, he's very friendly and tries his best to make his athletes feel comfortable and happy.
  3. There is, officially, an actual Brazilian coach, but he has 37288492 other things to do and isn't here now Which is fine, because actual coach Luca Bormolini is both a good guy and a good coach.
  4. That is correct. And before Poland he was the coach of Sweden's IBU Cup team and at the same time Brazil's team
  5. Norwegian Tobias Torgersen, very friendly guy (and super smart, I have no doubt he is already picking up some Chinese vocabulary)
  6. They have a good coach
  7. Most notable of that is that the huge uphill at the beginning of the lap is almost entirely skipped
  8. Fast Russian shooting clean, RIP points for the rest Hopefully it'll be a little different in the women's race..
  9. So basically the opposite of what they did in Oberhof.
  10. I've got a feeling wind conditions might be a little hard..
  11. The food was excellent
  12. Greetings from inside the IBU Family Club
  13. Elia Viviani is the first winner of the year, after a mighty sprint brought him the first stage win of the Tour Down Under.
  14. I might decide to let the waxing be done by the Italian guy who's been doing that at 5 Olympics, and use my accreditation for the food and warm shelter
  15. Now it says 11:00 I'm annoyed, now I can't watch it because I'll be at the IBU Cup
  16. Yay night race
  17. According to the Brazilians who just arrived near Arber, a car of the Russian team, also on their way from Duszniki, crashed into a building in the Czech Republic. No idea about if it's bad or not.
  18. Durrant takes the win, leaving him a cheque for, 'ONE HUNRED THOUSAND' pounds. Yes, including the spelling error in hundred/hunred.
  19. Yay, arrived Time to catch up on 24 hours of sports
  20. On to Germany, praying I will get to my destination today with all the weather troubles..
  21. Mikuru Suzuki, first time participant, destroyed the competition in the women's tournament and with a very dominant performance (including starting a leg with 180-180) she beat Lorraine Winstanley 3-0 to take the world title The way Suzuki has been playing is simply game-changing for women's darts. Her averages were pulled down a bit because of some moments were the doubles just wouldn't fall, but she's been scoring like no woman ever before. What a show by The Miracle, the nickname she got after beating triple consecutive champion Lisa Ashton in the first round
  22. Michael Rösch has announced he will retire after next week's World Cup in Ruhpolding
  23. I'm actually fine with it for a relay-only event like the World Relays, as long as they don't try and put stuff like a 2x4x3,5x236m hurdlesx562m on the Olympic program.
