  1. Don't you think there is something very, very wrong right there ? ...
  2. Something, a silver medal team at the last olympics would never dare to do I'm sure. The hypocrisy is breathtaking.
  3. It goes a bit more deep than that Most of this terms are still used today I believe. http://www.sabrquebec.org/vocabulaire/ (english version at the bottom)
  4. @Makedonas etc I need some Greek help, on which channel the game is broadcasted ? Edit: EPT3
  5. No, it's not really that, it's about surveys institute asking useless questions to people who most likely will not have a clue and/or are not interested by the question to begin with so that they have something to sell to newspapers. It's how their business works. We had a similar irrelevant survey in France a few weeks ago http://www.odoxa.fr/sondage/60-francais-souhaitent-jeux-de-tokyo-naient-lieu/
  6. I dont think France ever beat in modern times a team the strength of Romania with such a score. I won't say we stand a chance tomorrow because we don't, but maybe Greece will have a more stressful match than anticipated
  7. Let's imagine the result with a team that would have actually compete for a medal
  8. Speaking of french relay selection, Guigonnat will start tomorrow the mixed relay with Simon.
  9. FIS had it the wrong way. It's ok to try new 'young' events to reach a bigger audience just like IBU did with great success. But for that to be successful, you need very easily untestable rules that don't take 5 minutes to get your head around. Mass Start in biathlon have been successful because it was fresh and exciting, but also because it could be understood instinctively by anyone. With that shit, FIS just confuse everyone, doesn't reach a new public and make angry his old and faithful base.
  10. The rule doesn't apply in gold or bronze finals (something, probably no one knew before the event, including Liensberger)
  11. Don't know how posting articles from weeks or months ago is of any help ?... Anyway, for the games to be cancelled, someone must have an interest to cancel them. The IOC, the organizing committee, the japanese state, the world of sport at large, TV they all need the game to happen whatever the difficulties might be. It's gonna be ugly, it will be very unfair for many athletes (see boxers as an early exemple), but Tokyo 2020 will happen.
  12. That's the kind of shit that makes me almost wish the Olympics to be cancelled...
  13. That's fucking ridiculous. So, I'm guessing we are now making new rules as the event goes. Fantastic. I propose that Meillard to be awarded a gold medal also just because he sounds like a very nice guy.
  14. Starting the slalom in straight order made it even more appaling. Having the slalom in no reverse order might not be a bad idea, but you then need to have speed specialists in front, so you really, really need a downhill first. This was garbage
  15. Anyway, we shouldn't read to much in youngsters results. Past junior and youth world championships medals tables are filled with people who didn't had any success at senior level (and from every nation). By their results at a young age, Simon Fourcade should have dominated the world of biathlon, not Martin.
  16. Guigonnat most likely or Claude on his current form.
  17. Which would be the worst possible outcome. A soulless venue that we already have seen 20 years before. Yeah, the excitement. Anyway, when there is a will, there might be a way. I remember the Arenes in Nimes being covered in the early 90's which hosted a few handball and tennis matches.
  18. Different procedure with little to do with the host. I don't see the IOC introduce it just to scrap it in 2030, nor I see it as a permanent olympic discipline.
  19. The Arena Civica in Milano (built in 1807 !) could host the speed track events https://milano.repubblica.it/cronaca/2021/02/02/news/una_pista_di_ghiaccio_all_arena_cosi_milano_fa_le_prove_per_le_gare_olimpiche_di_pattinaggio-285576944/
  20. Yes, Beijing choosed not to add any new sport. There are very little to chose from anyway, the only 3 recognized winter federations not already present at the winter games being : Ski Mountaineering, Bandy and Climbing (ice climbing).
  21. Lavillenie at 6.02m after a perfect run And now trying ... 6.20m https://www.facebook.com/1502644776728547/videos/870311443538922 The last time, he tried himself at the WR, he was much younger and injured himself. Edit: all right nothing happened, but he is still alive
