  1. No i know Taremi from last WC qualification and even before and i know he's the one of the most important players in Iran and in Iranian team the most valuable players are defenders and midfielders under queroz But i didn't know about his problems seriuosly
  2. Egypt will officially host CAN 2019 in june
  3. Mahdi Taremi is the 1st player on my fantasy team to score a goal and it's 2
  4. China won 2-1 , finally we have a predicted winner here
  5. India leads Thailand 1-0 looks like this's the tournament of surprises
  6. Me too he reminds me of Essam El Hadary our goalkeeper
  7. And Jordan wins 1-0 U can call it the 1st upset of this tournament , poor Palestine the Aussies will eat them alive next match , btw this Australian team performance kind of remembering me of the 2007 team , they also started back then with a loss to Oman 1-3
  8. Jordan surprisingly leading Australia 1-0 after 1st half It could have been 2-0 even with a free kick for them hitting the post , but Australia fully deserved a PK in the last 5 miunutes , i really don't know why there's no VAR from 1st Rd
  9. No , i really want VAR to be applied in all tournaments , yet there're still mistakes , but ofc much better than not using it , especially referees mistakes became something horrible in the last few years , even in Premier league and UCL they do a lot of mistakes so VAR IMO became a must , i also agree with u for the penalty and i think penalties should only be counted if there's a very obvious tackle by defender or handball , but just letting the referee guess the defender intention is something weird. and btw what's the biggest match in Iran history u have just referred Iran vs. USA in WC 98 ?
  10. VAR is not applied here ? , i agree with u in the penalty given to UAE , if i was the REF. , I wan't call it ofc
  11. Very poor opening match between UAE and Bahrain , i though UAE was much better than this , no doubt they were offending coach Zaccheroni before the start of tournament , they were much better under Mahdi Ali their previous coach
  12. some late news, the Philippines and Cardiff Goalkeeper Neil Etheridge wasn't selected in the final 23 man squad of his team , which's quite better than using him for just one match like they tried to do at the beginning , also i think Cardif has given much pressure on the Filipino side as long as they'll face Huddersfield next match which's a very vital match for their attempts to stay at the premier league

  17. Overall locally and Internationally it was satisfactory , although i must admit that i've missed some big international events this year and ofc we were missing Athletics and Swimming WCHs , anyway i really enjoyed the multi sports events we had this year , WOG and it was the best time i followed WOGs since Turin 2006 where i was in Canada so it was really easy to follow it Bein Sport has provided a very special coverage this time they almost covered all events , so it was really fantastic and rich experiment for me ,i think WOG was my highlight of the year of international sport , the only problem was ofc the timing of events and the very busy scheduling starting from 12 p.m local time here until 3 , we had Commonwealth Games which i did really enjoy also , Mediterranean games which was the worst tv coverage ever for it , almost i didn't follow any singe event live on tv and at the end was the Asian Games which i enjoyed many events of it as usual , we had the football WC and we had some really good matches in term of quality , maybe one of the rarest times that the best team really won at the end , even if they were defending a lot , but i think no other teams did really played like a team , i think we didn't have some extraordinary performances in the most popular individual sports this year , i didn't find this in Gymnastics WCH , but there were a lot of good performances ofc , tennis season was quite not really interesting , maybe the only surprise if we consider it was the comeback for Novak after many said that he's already finished , Chung gave us some really exceptional performances in AO , Cecchinato in RG and ofc Osaka in US open, other than this it was quite predictable year , maybe Kachanov surprise in Paris Masters was another highlight , but overall i didn't really enjoy tennis this year , maybe this has some relation with the upsets my favorite Federer gave us this year looking forward for much better next year and ofc i'm waiting for my always favorite AO to see some good tennis . Athletics we had some quite very good performances overall , we had WRs in women's 3000m steeplechase , men's marathon and men's decathlon that's what i remember so far , i can add to them this 6.05 jump by duplantis in European championships , i think it was a good year of Athletics , hopefully more to come in 2019 , Swimming ofc when u don't have WCH , u don't really have big competitions , but we saw some very good performances in European championship , i think it was quite a sad year for Weightlifting fans , another champions have fallen into doping , change of weights which i really didn't like especially olympic ones , we had much better wch this year than the last year , but many returning countries were not good at all especially Russia and Kazakhstan , boxing chaos was the biggest upset of the year , but nothing new , for me that maybe was the highlights of the year so far internationally , at the end i may say i'm satisfied , but not really satisfied , i'd talk about locally later
  18. Ali Karimi was one of my favorite players in my childhood , i was really happy when he signed for Bayern Munchen my favorite team also , but maybe the movement from Emerati league to Bundesliga directly wasn't very good for him especially he moved to the biggest German Club of all ages , so he didn't get enough time to prove his real talent, this guy was really talented and ofc he's such a legend of Iranian and Asian football besides Ali Daei and Mahdi Mahdavekia i really like this treble this Semis match in 2006 was one of the really bad memories for me in football as i'm a crazy fan of Germany and i think Italy was a bit lucky to win this match , Germany was the better side even during over time , changing goalkeepers before penalty shootouts must deal with their ability to save some balls , any coach should be aware of his goalkeepers and their ability to save during penalty shootouts , but i think it's an appropriate to do so if there's no big difference between your keepers in penalties , it's better to just keep your keeper that played the whole game , but for example i blame Van Gaal for not subistuting Cillessen before Penalties with Argentina in 2014 WC Semis like what he did in quarters as it did worked out
  19. Iran vs. Korea in quarters was one of the best matches i've seen in Asian Cups , it was really crazy one and ofc Ali Karimi was definetely the hero of this match by scoring a hatrick , even a bein comentator said after 4th goal in Arabic Ali karimi was very generous for Iran as u nay now Karim in Arabic means generous It looks like u have a very bad luck in penalties indeed
