To be fair, Serbian basketball team was rather dissaponting last few times vs Italy

All speculations about Liu Brothers are clear now. They will participate Chinese national championships on 2023/03/31-2023/04/02 and represented Team Tianjin where their father is from. This event is also served as trials of national team for next season. Their performance will definitely be the spot light of the event and they need it to convince fans and team.

In hindsight I think this is a big win for Russia. Lifting that state-sponsored doping ban would always be the more difficult task and could have been extended indefinitely. Now it's gone and people don't notice it since the war is more important. After the war ends you will be Russians reinstated into competition and many people will wonder what happened with the doping ban.

Conti & Macii just stormed into our team and quickly climbed the rankings up to this unexpected, wonderful result (also in terms of scoring, they are always improving big time, adding more and more diffcult elements to their program and skating every time better than ever).
 
I hope they keep improving day after day, until they finally get the Olympic medal at home in 3 years time.

Fencing have reinstated them, too (quali were supposed to start in April, but so far the first tournaments have been cancelled because of that possible return of Russians and Belarussians).
 
World Athletics instead has just confirmed earlier Today that Russians and Belarussians will be denied any international competition entry until the war goes on.

as an old proverb here says: more people can fit in an East German Trabant than we have in the stadium today

I have always thought baseball should be an Olympic sport, but comparing the Tokyo 2020 tournament to the World Baseball Classic this year, I would rather have a high-level competition like the WBC every two/three years than a bunch of minor leaguers trying to win an Olympic medal.
