  1. by the way, Lucilla won the first set...
  2. ops...I though Boari was already in the final...but instead her previous win was just in the quarters...
  3. second Italian 1-2 after the women's Trap in Shotgun Shooting... too early to say that...
  4. and it's an all-Italian final!!! edit: the second semifinal is still to be played...I confused Boari's previous win in the quarterfinals...
  5. yeah...those Romanians are starting to...you know what I mean!
  6. well, Tacchini did more or less what I expected...he'll never be ahead of the likes of Brendel & co...he's not a medal candidate in global events...better accept it soon, before we get disappointed all the time...
  7. still the problem of blank posts... EDIT: now it's ok... by the way, another really disappointing performance by Italy in canoeing (men's C2)...
  8. tbh, if they don't choose Biarritz, they are crazy... French Polynesia would be fascinating, but I'd really like to meet the pusher of those who proposed that... he must have some really good stuff... the artificial pool...well, those who thought about it, must have a cheater as a pusher...he surely gave them some gone bad stuff...
  9. actually she has 50%, since is a 2-way battle between her and the Swiss woman...
  10. it's not that I don't like France...it's that I just can't root for you...it's written in the History books!!! it all dates back to Julius Caesar and his French campaign...basically, you can only blame Asterix and Obelix for that!
  11. I think you can have a bit more of both, if IOC really gets less pretentious in terms of venues, logistics and accomodation... and in any case, just cut those sports where you have more judges and/or officials than athletes* first... *not thinking about artistic swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, BMX freestyle...noooooo...
  12. Biarritz, in the Basque Country near the Spanish border...on the Atlantic Ocean... p.s. it's a wonderful place for Surf (they just hosted the ISA longboard world champs) and not only for Surf...it's a wonderful area. Point. p.p.s. I agree at 101% with your post...especially when you talk about cutting some activities like 3x3 basketball, BMX Freestyle and so on...
  13. well, tbh I never root for France...for more than a reason (but to name "History" should be enough)...
  14. fair to hope it will happen again...
  15. hopefully, not... so, the winners of the 3 all-European quarterfinals (which are going to be NOR, SWE and ITA, as I already perceived with my super-power ) are secured their Olympic spot...
  16. his father is Moroccan, but he was born and raised in Salerno, Italy...
  17. maybe the Russian Channel MatchTV! or the Ukranian Inter on Youtube, but I'm not sure... I don't know if the Olympic Channel (with VPN) has replays... p.s. they're not "monstrous" robberies...it's just the usual farce with someone being outclassed on the ring proclamed the winner of the bout (I'm speaking of Mouhiidine's match)... LaCruz's match instead was a bit closer (at least for a couple of rounds)...imho he didn't win, but I've seen too many matches to name it a real "robbery", rather a "wrong verdict" as it happens quite often in Olympic Boxing...
  18. que suce! how disgusting! che schifo! das saugt! que chupa! isso è uma porcaria! Это сосет!
  19. the real question is: how the hell can those 3 judges have the match tied (pickin'up LaCruz by preference is only the icing on the cake)??? did they watch some HBO show instead of the fight on the ring????? p.s. now that I saw Mouhiidine's match vs the Russian Gadzhimagomedov, LaCruz won almost by KO, compared to that infamous robbery...
  20. top 4...Norway, Sweden, USA and Italy... take notice...
  21. surprise, surprise... among the names involved in the Aderlass operation (dr. Schmidt, last Nordic Skiing Worlds...do you remember?), there's also Daniel Taschler (source in Italian only, sorry)... https://www.gazzetta.it/Sport-Invernali/25-06-2019/doping-operazione-aderlass-spunta-nome-daniel-taschler-340357119366.shtml this man is a real disaster...
  22. great final in the Mixed Team event in Judo...Portugal was leading 3-0 and then lost to the tie-breaking match 4-3... I'm notoriously against those kind of events, but I must admit that today's competition was really entertaining and we also saw a few very, very exciting bouts... p.s. @hckosice hey, pal! we have a Slovakian win in Boxing (men's -81kg)...Matus Strnisko just destroyed his Swiss opponent and now he's one step away from a medal... unfortunately, now he has to face an Italian (very experienced) guy...so, I just can't let you enjoy that medal...you should have chosen another weight class...
