  1. no ranking points, but we still have 2 direct quota (1 male and 1 female) up for grabs... the only problem is that those 2 quota will be awarded only after the OQP is over (next April), since the OQR has the priority over the continental qualification...
  2. meanwhile in Shotgun shooting, Pellielo is probably going to miss the final once again... I don't really know for what fucking hell of a reason they still bring a former shooter like him to these events... his career ended in Rio... he and all of his supporters must accept that...he's just destroying Italy's medal chances in Tokyo by not gaining the OQ on every occasion he shoots... on the other side, we already have the 6 finalists in women's Trap: Fatima Galvez Silvana Stanco Marika Salmi Jessica Rossi Satu Makela-Nummela Zuzana Rehak-Stefecekova which means that the Olympic Quota will be contested by Spain and Finland (both girls)...
  3. finally, Gold for Arunovic ahead of Korakaki and Boneva... Olympic Quota for Poland, thanks to Klaudia Bres... and Sylvia Steiner misses out once again just for a fraction...
  4. Franquet is currently 26th...no chance for her to make the final, even if there are still quite a few shots left... live updates here: https://minsk2019.by/en/tsrd/SHO/results/match?eventId=SHOWAP60W-------------------------&phase=QUAL---- edit: Bulgarians are going really well...
  5. still, it's a big missed chance for SVK to earn 1 more quota (and avoid those always painful quota switches)...
  6. and finally Omelchuk gets his Olympic Quota for Ukraine!
  7. well, maybe even 4th... by the way, dream over for Italy...
  8. no, the worse he can do it's 3rd...
  9. @hckosice Tuzinsky on fire! Olympic Quota coming for SVK...
  10. and here we go...Strautmanis has crossed the Border and has become Lithuanian... by the way, we just wrote good words about the graphics and they're going crazy...
  11. I fear we won't get the OQ also this time...
  12. these graphics are 1 million times better than ISSF's...
  13. Tuzinsky and Omelchuk in pole position for the OQ after the first series (I know it's early)...
  14. it's a mix between Judo, Wrestling and other Martial Arts and the scoring criteria are different from all the "original" sports that have been used as an inspiration to build the rules of Sambo (which was invented as a form of training for the Soviet Military Forces in the early Twenties of the 20th Century)...
  15. just because there's this dedicated thread, I'm gonna cross-post it... Men's 10m Air Pistol, Shooters qualified to the Final Artem Chernousov* Juraj Tuzinsky Damir Mikec* Paolo Monna Oleh Omelchuk Pablo Carrera Anton Aristarkhov Lauris Strautmanis * NOT eligible for the Olympic Quota
  16. maybe because it's a National sport in Belarus and the one that would eventually give them the most medals?
  17. looking at today's judo draws... OK, if you want to win medals you have to beat the best in your class, but Italy today have been the most unlucky team in the world...all of our guys have to face world or olympic medallists before even thinking about the pool finals (and the subsequent repechage rounds in case of a loss)...
  18. Men's 10m Air Pistol, Shooters qualified to the Final Artem Chernousov* Juraj Tuzinsky Damir Mikec* Paolo Monna Oleh Omelchuk Pablo Carrera Anton Aristarkhov Lauris Strautmanis * NOT eligible for the Olympic Quota
  19. in general, the participation to this tournament is not the most crowded ever in terms of top athletes (especially the Europeans, since next weekend there are the European Games Karate finals in Minsk, which have 1 men and 1 women's Olympic Quota up for grabs)... but still, in the final rounds I see a lot of big names, so it's not that the quality is that poor...maybe the tournament was lacking a bit in depth, but not in the top stars... for what I see, Gaysinsky was actually a bit lucky with the draw, but Irr and Marino are still quite good fighters (our guy was considered a great talent -world junior medallist, senior european champion at the age of 20, but at the moment he's struggling with too many injuries and can't find his shape of 2017 back)... for sure, if he was in the same pool with Yamanoglu and Ganjzadeh (2 of the very best in the world), he wouldn't be in the gold medal match... unfortunately, Serie A tournaments don't give up that many ranking points... for Italy, it was a very good tournament so far, with 3 athletes in the gold medal matches and 5 fighting for bronze...I hope that later today they can finish the job with full success...
  20. only if DEN win against SRB and 3 teams end up with 6 points, otherwise the direct matchup between GER and AUT would be the tiebreaker...
