  2. by the way, Mattia Busato lost once again against Alì Sofuoglu in men's Kata and will fight "only" for Bronze, meanwhile Viviana Bottaro filled her contract and will win the Silver Medal among the women (no chance she can beat Sandra Sanchez)... so, the first 2 Gold Medal matches of the Karate tournament are: Men's Kata: Damian Hugo Quintero Capdevila vs Alì Sofuoglu Women's Kata: Sandra Sanchez Jaime vs Viviana Bottaro now let'go to more serious stuff, the Kumite events... first on the mat, the women's -68kg and +68kg...

  16. Bella Ciao is a comunist song...it's an insult to more than half the Country... please, let politics out of sports thread... of all those songs that have been mentioned, the only that deserved the status of "great song" is Caruso... Toto Cutugno is just a sterotype (like all those Al Bano & Romina Power's songs -I know Al Bano is the favourite entertainer of the IJF, as he's always called up to the opening ceremony of the world champs, especially when they're hosted by Countries like Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan "and friends")... probably (surely) not the most connected with a sport podcast, but still, considereing the fact that the University Games are held in Naples and surroundings, those 2 are probably the most significant Naples' songs of the last 20/30 years (after the end of the great tradition of the real Napolitan typical song)... for sure they're the 2 I like the most... meanwhile this is definitely more connected to a sport event (it was the Italia '90 Soccer World Cup Official Anthem...and Edoardo Bennato is from Naples)... finally, this is the Offial Song of the 2019 Universiade...
  17. I don't know if I have to smile because of all this success or be even more *beeep* because of the world champs fails just one week ago...
  18. by the way, Italy swept all the individual events in recurve archery...after Tatiana Andreoli among the women yesterday, a few minutes ago Mauro Nespoli won the men's event...
  19. is it just me or the track cycling results on the official website are not working at all?
  20. men's skeet final lineup is: Tomas Nydrle Emil Kjelgaard Petersen Ben Llewellin Gabriele Rossetti Stefan Nilsson Eric Delaunay All the shooters but Gabriele Rossetti are fighting for today's Olympic Quota Place...
  21. that's not the correct result...there were many shooters tied for 6th place, so a shoot-off was required... the correct lineup is: Diana Bacosi Albina Shakirova Panagiota Andreou Lucie Anastassiou Marjut Heinonen Chiara Cainero the 2 Italians are already qualified to the Olympic Games, the remaining 4 shooters will fight for today's Quota after a storm, the schedule has been slightly delayed...the first final of the day will start at 15.45 CET
  22. naaa...I'm hopeless (and actually, today I'm also destroyed by an insane hot weather)... our shooting team it's not even worth my frustration anymore...
  23. shameful performance of the Italian girls... one of the worst outing ever in the entire history of the Italian team sports... I do really feel ashamed for what I saw yesterday (and it's not only about the final score, which is still quite humiliating)... tbh, to have a performance like that, we could at least stop shopping the 3rd/4th tier Argentinian players and let our native Italian girls play (at least we would save some money)...
  24. wow! Tunisia swept all the women's events, meanwhile Egypt won "only" 2 out of 3 Gold Medals among the men... good to see also a third Nation in the Gold Medals column...
  25. Men's Individual Sabre Final Results Gold: Mohamed Amer Silver: Fares Ferjani Bronze: Mohab Samer & Ahmed Ferjani Semifinals: Amer b. A.Ferjani 15-5 F.Ferjani b. Samer 15-8 Gold Medal Match: Amer b. F.Ferjani 15-9 Here is the Full Final Ranking (and Results) from Today's competition: https://fie.org/competitions/2019/589
