  1. I think priority should definitely be given to the likes of Palau, Tuvalu... PNG will not have a lifter for the first time since 1984. And also, sadly, Dika Toua won't be able to attend her 5th Olympics.
  2. Start book for Oceanian championships is up. http://www.iwf.net/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2016/05/StartBook_Fiji_2016.pdf It's quite confusing, because this is not only senior championships, but also junior and youth... New Zealand has the biggest team with 36 lifters (20 M + 16 W), since when do they care about weightlifting? I'm afraid it's generally not looking good for small nations. It will be hard to defeat New Zealand like in 2012, especially since they have zillion lifters! Meanwhile, Papua New Guinea, who is one of the best in region, does not have enough lifters to qualify anyone in both men's and women's division! Nauru has one 12 year old girl. That seems so young even for youth division.
  3. Romania is dominating. africaboy scored 67.169% of the possible points here. Let's see what will be the record percentage this season. Meanwhile, I had pretty strong finish in knock-out rounds (predicted all the winners correctly). Great to have multipliers for knock out rounds!
  4. I guess the only chance is if Spain or Brazil decline. Is Spain likely to do so? It's strange that they didn't compete at the Europeans.
  5. Who is in the qualification positions for the medley relays? Does Iceland have a chance?
  6. Today only mountain bike so far. Seems like the Nations Cup competitions in Compiegne are delayed (or cancelled) because of
  7. I'm glad that Puerto Rico used their chance.

  14. If Brazil wins quota in men's kayak today, then the host quota in K1 1000 will go to the next best nation from the 2015 Worlds. And that's Belgium.
  15. Colombia and Puerto Rico destroyed the African teams at 2nd qualifier yesterday. Deciding match (Colombia vs Puerto Rico) is scheduled for today.
  16. Or maybe he should eat less candy.
  17. This is how Cayman sailor found out that she is going to Rio.
  18. Though, ISAF qualification document is not really specific about priority of qualifications... It doesn't say that World Championships have priority over continental regattas. Yay, yet another weird qualification system! Anyhow, if we literally read the reallocation rule, then the situation is different. Because it doesn't say that NOCs which qualified at continental regattas after 2015 World Championships are counted as "unqualified NOCs"... So, if we literraly follow this. Mixed Nacra 17 - Germany's unused quota goes to Puerto Rico Women's 470 - Canada's unused quota goes to Greece Men's RS:X - New Zealand's unused quota goes to Turkey
  19. You can even compete in K2 200 with the same athletes from K4 1000 Or with your K1 200 athlete + one K4 1000 athlete.
  20. Added sailing. We are still waiting for the first nation that officially confirmed more than one wild card.
