  4. If Brazil wins quota in men's kayak today, then the host quota in K1 1000 will go to the next best nation from the 2015 Worlds. And that's Belgium.
  5. Colombia and Puerto Rico destroyed the African teams at 2nd qualifier yesterday. Deciding match (Colombia vs Puerto Rico) is scheduled for today.
  6. Or maybe he should eat less candy.
  7. This is how Cayman sailor found out that she is going to Rio.
  8. Though, ISAF qualification document is not really specific about priority of qualifications... It doesn't say that World Championships have priority over continental regattas. Yay, yet another weird qualification system! Anyhow, if we literally read the reallocation rule, then the situation is different. Because it doesn't say that NOCs which qualified at continental regattas after 2015 World Championships are counted as "unqualified NOCs"... So, if we literraly follow this. Mixed Nacra 17 - Germany's unused quota goes to Puerto Rico Women's 470 - Canada's unused quota goes to Greece Men's RS:X - New Zealand's unused quota goes to Turkey
  9. You can even compete in K2 200 with the same athletes from K4 1000 Or with your K1 200 athlete + one K4 1000 athlete.
  10. Added sailing. We are still waiting for the first nation that officially confirmed more than one wild card.
  11. There is one more change, New Zealand now suddenly has women's RS:X quota again!
  12. I'm surprised there's no Oman. And yet there are Angola and Bermuda even though they already have sailors. I guess nobody else applied. Also surprised that Cayman Islands applied for a wild card, in 2008 and 2012 they only sent athletes who qualified. Women's 470 quota should go to Israel, what means that Finland now get European quota.

  15. Well, they are not qualified because they didn't compete at qualification event. Probably thanks to our federation. Although, they would have probably missed the qualification by 2-3 places. Qualification in diving would be finally some positive surprise, but that is by no means certain as of now. But there should be a decent chance.
  16. Well, International Canoe Federation hasn't published anything about that, and it's not a surprise. They are by far the worst federation when it comes to sharing information with general public.
  17. Here's something. Apparently, if Joao Victor Oliva and Haddington make the Brazilian dressage team, then we will see a horse born in Afghanistan at the Olympics! To put that into perspective, I don't think I have ever heard of some Olympic horse who was born in Asia, let alone in country like Looks like Afghanistan might qualify an Olympian.
  18. That is just weird. It could only happen if Canada refused their quota.
  19. Of course. You can do whatever you want with athletes you qualified, provided that you qualified enough. Poland did the same thing in women's kayaking in 2012.
  20. I guess it is. But I don't know if the Latvian women will be obligated to hold purses on Opening ceremony.
  21. Latvia And I guess these are for the Opening ceremony.
  22. Solomon Islands will host 2023 Pacific Games. Apparently, they surprisingly won hosting rights by a single vote. Tahiti was considered to be a strong favourite.
