  1. Palauan lifter bombed out at Oceanian championships, that might cost him wild card since the competition is quite big.
  2. Last quota for , hard luck for Serbian archer.
  3. wins last available women's quota, hard luck for Belarus.
  4. Turkey and Slovakia qualify in women's event. vs. for the last quota. hckošice will be very happy when he hears this!
  5. Finland and Turkey win men's quotas. Last one will be vs.
  6. Men's semifinals Popovic vs. Piippo Huston vs. Gazoz Women's semifinals Anagoz vs. Senyuk Marusava vs. Longova Top 3 in each go to Rio...
  7. Mihalić finished 5th in the ranking round of archery European qualification, but after that he wasn't even able to defeat his first opponent. We are so weak.
  8. Well, the name is a match. So it's probably the same person, unless Amaliya is very popular name and Sharoyan very common surname in Armenia.
  9. It's so strange that she qualified in long jump. She represented Armenia at a lot of big competitions, but that was in 400m (or 400m hurdles) event. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amaliya_Sharoyan
  10. Basically, all nations that should have 2 quotas according to nations ranking will have only one, because there are so many individuals in top 100. I'm hoping that Luxembourg will keep more than one quota at least... UCI should really introduce some "default" individual quotas for women's road cycling. For example, we have the same qualification path in nations ranking, but we also have for example 5 places for highest ranked individuals. If there are more than 5 individuals in Top 100, then we use the current system of reducing nation's quotas. We should also have some reallocations in women's time trial. Czech Republic will lose its place for sure. There is a chance that Russia will lose one too, if they end up with only one cyclist. Same goes for Belarus.
  11. According to Latvian Olympic Committee, they have received a reallocation in men's K1 200m (as we expected that it might happen). Hungary exceeded the maximum number of athletes in men's kayak so they returned the men's K1 quota, which went to Latvia. http://olimpiade.lv/lv/jaunumi/zinas/smailotajs-rumjancevs-sanem-celazimi-uz-olimpiskajam-spelem-1008
  12. Switzerland selected Lukas and Simon Werro for C2 http://swissolympicteam.ch/olympische-spiele/sommerspiele/rio-2016/news/Drei-weitere-Triathleten-und-zwei-Kanuten-Rio-2016-selektioniert.html
  13. Japanese dressage selection trials will be held on June 1-2. Apparently they will ride Grand Prix tests on both days and the top four will be selected. Reasonable decision, considering that their chance of progressing from Grand Prix stage of competition is ZERO. Six riders will compete: Yuko Kitai (Don Lorean) Masanao Takahashi (Fabriano) Akane Kuroki (Toots) Shingo Hayashi (Ramses, Clearwater) Kazuki Sado (Ziroco) Kiichi Harada (Egistar)
  14. I agree, women's C1 is unwatchable... At least there should be more quotas for other events (K1 M, C1 M, K1 W) in 2020, what would be good news for lesser nations like Croatia. That's because all 24 athletes quotas from C2 won't go to women's C1 (they don't deserve anything more than 12 quotas IMO).
  15. That's great news. Dika Toua is perhaps the only lifter that competed at every Olympics since the introduction of women's weightlifting in 2000. She is also the first woman who lifted at the Olympics, as she opened the women's -48kg event in 2000.
  16. Also, unofficially Kosovo and Equatorial Guinea received wild cards for men's events. If that really happens that would be really bad, a waste of quotas actually. Their athletes are much weaker than Oceania's... These are unofficial wild cards so far (according to Indian NOC, apparently). Men - + 3 remaining Women - + 2 remaining Even if all remaining go to Oceania, some good nations will still miss out. Plus, this list is also missing America.
  17. Yeah, I guess this wasn't a goal of this rule. Bahamas and Angola for example profited from this rule, that's ok. Denmark getting additional boat is not so good (especially if the one who is losing it has much fewer boats qualified). But I don't think any special provisions will be made.
  18. You better inform him that Belgium is not a Tripartite nation.
  19. Badminton wild cards are confirmed. http://bwfbadminton.com/2016/05/25/trio-get-rio-2016-tripartite-places/ Congrats . No wild cards in women's singles have been awarded.
  20. Quota allocation. Men's XC 3 - 2 - 1 - Change of continental quotas. to , to . gets Oceania quota (the other Oceania is going to Russia through rankings, because there is no other Oceanian nation) Women's XC 2 - 1 - Change of continental quota. to .
  21. Pejčić wins Munchen World Cup with 6 points margin.
