I honestly thought it was the Canadian who bumped into Arai. Either way, it wasn'tintentional on either part.

Really?  It seems pretty clear on every angle that Arai intentionally leans into Dunfee, from behind.  In any event, it was Arai who was behind Dunfee so it's his responsibility to stay out of the way.  I'm not sure on the rules, so I'm not saying anything definitive.  But from my (biased) perspective, it was pretty clearly intentional on Arai.

I mean she's at par now. Yesterday at the half she was -1

Yeah, she's not doing terrible, I just mean she's not on fire yet like yesterday.  But maybe the last 9 is her thing.  Wasn't trying to complain.

Update from 50km RW: We have officially filed a protest. More to come...

Honestly, I don't know the rules.  But it was intentional, so in my mind illegal.  IIAF also set a precedent yesterday with the Americans.  It'll look like favouritism if they reject the appeal, which I'm not sure they're concerned about.

  4. Too bad for Dunfee.  Not on the 4th, but on getting screwed over by a dirty racer.

Oh well.  Good news is Lamaze is still perfect after the first round.  Tied for 1st with 13 others, though.  Should be an exciting lunch time, with Lamaze, Nyhaug and the soccer game (and Brooke still going in golf, and our girl going in TKD).

Arai should not be DSQ but Tallent run the last 10 km, it's impossible he finished this race.

It was a much more malicious and intentional bump than the Brazilians yesterday.  But we all know there are some rules for some countries, and other rules for other countries.

By the way. Sara's medal is our 13th. That is a tied 2nd place all-time. Only 1948 was better when it comes to the amount of medal (we're tied with 1920).

When I started really following sports (more than just football and handball), I thought we would never get close to the amounts from the old days. I'm extremely proud to be able to follow this danish team, where we get this much medals even though some of our biggest medal chances didn't make it.

    That's great!  Congratulations, Denmark!
