  3. Why dont you just make two templates out of the one template you already have? Then everyone can post two predictions, one for wrestling/taekwondo and one for the other sports, in the end all the result will be added up and we will still have just one prediction contest, but everyone can post his predictions for taekwondo/wrestling after the draw has been released.
  4. Is this official? None of those sports should be olympic, maybe except for skatebording. None of those sports really adds anything to the olympic games and they are either extremely underdeveloped or the best athletes wont compete. We for sure didnt need another team sport, where only 3 or 4 teams will fight for a medal or the 10th fighting sport. I can already tell 100% that i wont follow those sports in 2020. Surfing could be interesting, although we already have sailing at the olympics. What will be next? Futsal, beach handball, squash or parcours? The only reasonable explanation for everything IOC did in the last couple of weeks is that they try to destroy the olympics. This is completely contradictory to what they actually wanted to do and i can already tell that Bach is the worst president in the history of the IOC. Olympic games and olympic medals used to be something special, but in the future olympic medals will become completely random, because even hobby athletes will be able to win some.
  5. So the prediction contests in taekwondo and wrestling become basically guessing. Do we know how the seeding (according to world ranking) will work?
  6. Thats the great and maybe sick thing about olympics. You watch events that you normally would never watch, just because its the olympics.
  7. Sweden match already over? I thought that South Africa would be extremely weak, so what happened? Sweden worse than expected or South Africa better than expected?
  8. When will taekwondo and wrestling draws take place? Why not make two separate prediction contests?
  9. Thanks! Wow, did Canada really score in the first minute? I was sure that Australia would win this ...
  10. Where can i find live scores on the official website? I dont like the website from what i have seen so far, i think it should be possible to see the current event with live score on the top of the page ... Maybe its just a problem with my computer? Does South Africa still have a chance to win the game?
  11. When will the draw/seeding in judo/wrestling/boxing/taekwondo released? I think its impossible to make a prediction for the medallists, if we dont know the draw.
  12. Orlando Ortega (mens 110m hurdles) will sadly be allowed to compete for Spain in Rio. He shouldnt have been allowed to compete, but sadly officials dont seem to have a problem to break their own rules nowadays.
  13. Yeah, i thought so. So the question basically is: Will Mali win a medal in taekwondo. I wont risk 10 points on a question like that, its pretty much 50/50.
  14. Our womens team has the goal to win gold, but it will be very difficult, i think one team from group G will win gold. I hope that we finish 2nd in group to avoid France/USA in the next round, we should try to lose against Australia. On the mens side a medal would be a good result, but without so many of our best players and without a good preparation it will be very difficult.
  15. About question 108: Lets say an athlete from the Netherlands wins a medal, would the answer be yes or would the answer only be yes if an athlete from for example Mali wins a medal? Medal in taekwondo = First medal ever in taekwondo at olympics or Medal in taekwondo = First medal ever for this country (all sports)?
  16. Maybe Ignatyev was just in a bad shape? Last year your team was 2 points behind the silver medal and 2.5 points behind the gold medal. Why do you think that your team will be so much better, while at the same time GB and Japan wont improve? I just looked at the results from last year again and GB missed gold by only 0.5 points, although Bevan only scored 13.9 on pommel horse. I think it will GB and Japan will be even better this year, considering that Bevan and Wilson are much more experienced this year. I would say GB and Japan will fight for gold and China will be the favorite for bronze.
  17. All the withdrawals really hurt the overall quality, but the final should have been Murray vs. Djokovic anyway, they are far ahead of everyone else. Some of the young guns (Thiem, Kyrgios and Zverev) really couldve challenged for a medal ... It would be great to see Del Potro on the podium, but Nishikori and Monfils are more likely to win bronze in my opinion. On the womens side the 3 best players in the world still will compete, but Azarenka, Bencic and Halep wouldve been more likely to win silver than any missing player on the mens side, so in my opinion the womens tournament lost more quality. Silver and bronze seem pretty open on the womens side.
  18. I doubt that the russian team will compete for gold. I think they will fight for bronze against GB. I also doubt that Stretovich will reach the uneven bars final or is he the Semenya of artistic gymnastics?

  20. Ok, it would be fine for me if not all of those athletes will be included, then i might have a small advantage. In mens 200 IM you should pick Phelps, Hagino, Lochte and Pereira, the rest is pretty random. In womens 100 free you should pick both Campbell sisters, Sjöstrom, Kromowidjojo and Oleksiak, the rest is pretty random.
  21. No problem, no reason to hurry, we have 4 days before swimming competitions start. I just wanted to help, because i think that in each event at least the 3 or 4 favorites for a medal should be given as options. Like i said in my previous post, it actually isnt too much work left. Just include Belmonte in womens 400/800 free, Efimova (if allowed to compete) in womens 100/200 breast, Atkinson/Meili/Meilutyte/King in womens 100 breast, Hosszu in womens 200 fly, Andreeva in womens 200 IM instead of one of the japanese girls, Rylov in mens 200 back, Kenderesi in mens 200 fly, China + Brazil/Russia in mens medley relay and Japan in mens 4x200 free relay. Did i just miss it or are mens 200 IM and womens 100 free completely missing?
  22. There is no reason to remove the bet. Will the deadline be after the end of the opening ceremony? We should have an answer by CAS before the start of the opening ceremony, so there might be enough time to change your prediction depending on the decision by CAS.
  23. Yeah, i am talking about the "Russia will be the best european nation in overall medal table" question. Without weightlifting and swimming its very unlikely that the answer will be yes. At the moment russian athletes would be banned, so i would answer with no, but i expect that russian athletes will be allowed to compete, so i would probably answer with yes. IOC said that they will give a final answer on friday, so lets hope that they will be done before the deadline.
  24. I didnt read see that you asked for help, but for some events the options are more than weird. In womens 100 breast you didnt mention the 4 athletes that are most likely to win a medal. Its as if you wouldnt include Kerber, Serena and Muguruza as options in a tennis prediction contest. Edit: Atkinson is also missing in womens 100 breast and i would add O'Connor instead of Tutton. In most events your picks are ok, because the missing athletes only have a small chance for a medal, but you should definitely add the following options: Womens 400/800 free: Belmonte Mens 4x100 free: Russia (if all of their athletes will be allowed to compete) Womens 100 breast: Meilutyte, Meili, King, Efimova (if allowed to compete), Atkinson In womens 200 free Hosszu should be removed, i doubt that she is even entered in this event. Mens 200 fly: Kenderesi Womens 200 IM: Only 2 athletes per nation are allowed, so Japan cant enter 3 athletes, i think you should also add Andreeva. Mens 4x200 free: Japan, they are 3rd or 4th favorite. Womens 200 fly: Maybe Hosszu, she could win a medal or miss the final, impossible to say at the moment. Womens 200 breast: Efimova (if allowed to compete) Mens 200 back: Rylov, he is the favorite for bronze. Womens 200 back: Ustinova (if allowed to compete) Mens medley relay: China (instead of Poland) + Russia (if allowed to compete) or Brazil (instead of France). I think France isnt even entered in this event? I think all other events are ok, no favorites for a medal are missing.
