  1. Yeah .. i am able to read ... So we basically have to guess which decision CAS will make or we have to hope that they will make their decision before the deadline.
  2. For some questions its really important to know whether russian athletes will be banned in weigthlifting and swimming or not? Will the contest be open until we have the decision by CAS?
  3. Would be interesting to know how you picked the options? Mens 400 IM: Nagy but no Heidtmann? Mens 400 free: Stjepanovic and Christiansen but no Vogel? Womens 400 IM: No Overholt? Mens 100 breast: Watanabe? Womens 400 free: Belmonte? Mens 4x100 free: No Russia or Germany, but Poland? This one is debatable but still ok i think, especially if some of the russian guys wont be allowed to compete. Mens 200 free: No Haas, but Stjepanovic? Mens 100 back: No Tarasevich or Rylov but Guido, Christou and Reid? Womens 100 breast: Huge mistake! Where are Meilutyte, King, Meili and Efimova? I think it should be 200 breast ... Womens 200 free: Is Hosszu even entered in this event? Mens 200 fly: Kenderesi? Womens 200 IM: 3 japanese girls and no Andreeva? Mens 4x200 free: No Japan? Womens 200 fly: No Hosszu? Debatable, but not completely wrong. Mens 200 back: Rylov? Mens 100 fly: Verlinden but no Metella, Sadovnikov, Stravius or Deibler? Womens 800 free: Belmonte? Mens 50 free: Liukkonen but for example no Wierling? Mens medley relay: Poland but no Brazil, Russia, Italy or China?
  4. Women's Vault - Look Ahead to Rio 2016: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzizdPlA8rw Athletes to look out for in Rio according to Dipa Karmakar: Maria Paseka, Hong Un-Jong and Oksana Chusovitina ...
  5. 1) No prediction contest for rugby, artistic gymnastics, boxing, judo, track cycling and so on? I understand that its probably not possible to make a prediction contest for all sports, but why not make a poll to find out which prediction contests would be most popular and then add 2 or 3 of them? 2) Do we already know when the swimming prediction contest will be available? I think some of the options are pretty weird, for example Richard Nagy in mens 400 IM, but no Jacob Heidtmann or Henrik Christiansen in mens 400 free but no Florian Vogel ...
  6. Thanks, much better, sadly there are barely pics of german athletes ... This one is pretty funny:

  9. How can federations hide doping cases at olympic games, i think WADA does the testing at the olympics? WADA should get much more power, federations or countries cant decide about bans, WADA should treat all athletes the same.

  11. Thanks, but i dont think thats right. I have been scrolling down for 5 minutes and didnt see a single picture of athletes in the olympic village.
  12. British athlete get a lot of funding, german athletes can only dream to get such a good funding, they dont need that much prize money.
  13. Look what this guy from India (apparently) got for his bronze medal in 2012. Crazy ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yogeshwar_Dutt I think this is the main reason why so many athletes from poor countries decide to dope, who wouldnt?
  14. Germany: Gold: 20.000 Silver: 15.000 Bronze: 10.000 4th: 5.000 5th: 4.000 6th: 3.000 7th: 2.000 8th: 1.500 Team sports: Everyone gets the full prize money. Gold in mens handball -> Every member of the team gets 20.000.
  15. Perfect place for Bach. Refugee team -> good publicity, Qatar -> ...
  16. Is boxing really that bad? I know that the host country always has an advantage, but isnt it pretty much the same in all fighting sports, fencing and maybe even artistic gymnastics (all sports with judges)? It would be great if there would be a way to make it impossible for the judges to "identify" the athletes. If you dont know which athlete is from country X, then you also cant cheat. No we only need a way to disguise the athletes during the competition ...
  17. When was/is the official deadline? Will other nations also change their entries in your opinion? Was the chinese guy a medal contender and is there any nation that could profit from it, but didnt enter an athlete in this event so far?
  18. 1) Medal chances for Velagic? 2) Possible to win medals in weightlifting without doping? 3) Are athletes tested while they are banned? I think at least top 8 in all events at the olympics should be tested and if there are more than X doping cases in a certain sport, then this sport should be banned for the next olympic games. I know that this is unfair for all clean athletes, but doping is also unfair for clean athletes, so we have to decide between one of those two things, there will never be a perfectly fair solution. All athletes, federations and nations have to understand that we cant continue like this and in my opinion no cheater should ever again be allowed to compete at olympic games and all cheaters should have to pay back all the prize money and all the money that other athletes lost thanks to their cheating. At the moment it looks like this: Either you dont cheat and never win anything, because there are enough people who are willing to cheat and cant really lose anything by doing it, or you cheat yourself and basically cant lose anything. In the worst case you wont be able to compete for 2 years, but thats not really a big punishment, because you wouldnt have earned much anyway during those 2 years without doping. We have to punish athletes, nations and federations, not just one of them, otherwise cheaters will always find a way. I think it would be great if all nations would sign a "declaration" that no athlete was caught for doping will be funded in the future. If countries like China, Kazakhstan or Russia keep funding their athletes after they got caught, then those athletes dont risk much by doping and its obvious that those nations have no problem with doping.
