  1. Didnt you give other users the advice to ignore me ... ? So i can answer you now and expect to get an answer? Heinevetter is completely mad, i dont like him at all, he seems to be extremely unfriendly and in addition to that he has some crazy saves but is average at best for the rest of the time.
  2. Storl, Schwanitz, R.Harting, Roleder, Krause, Holzdeppe, Heß, Fischer, Heidler, Hussong, Röhler, Vetter and Abele all have at least a 50% chance to win a medal in my opinion. Our womens 4x100m relay, Moguenara, C.Harting, Stahl, Weber and Schäfer all have at least a 25% chance to win a medal in my opinion. That adds up to at least 8 medals. Ryzih, Gierisch/Elbe, Linke, Jungfleisch, our mens 4x100m relay, Müller, Tesfaye, Obergföll, Kazmirek and Onnen all have about a 10% chance for a medal, so this would add up to 9 medals at least. 7 medals would be very disappointing in my opinion, in the last 20 years or so we have never been better in athletics.
  3. His best result in the qualifying period is 76.21m from last year, so he should be safe. Maybe they took him off the list of non-qualified athletes and just forgot to add him to the list of qualified athletes. The best athlete on the list of non-qualified athletes has a result of 75.96m and the worst athlete on the list of qualified athletes has a result of 76.18m, Melich has a better result than both and should be safe. I think they get their data from tilastopaja.org website.
  4. GERMANY MEN'S TEAM Goalkeeper: Silvio Heinevetter (Füchse Berlin) Andreas Wolff (THW Kiel) Left wing: Uwe Gensheimer (Paris St. Germain HB) Left back: Finn Lemke (SC Magedeburg) Julius Kühn (VfL Gummersbach) Christian Dissinger (THW Kiel) Center back: Martin Strobel (HBW Balingen-Weilstetten) Paul Drux (Füchse Berlin) Right back: Fabian Wiede (Füchse Berlin) Kai Häfner (TSV Hannover-Burgdorf) Right wing: Tobias Reichmann (KS Vive Tauron Kielce) Patrick Groetzki (Rhein-Neckar Löwen) Pivot: Patrick Wiencek (THW Kiel) Hendrik Pekeler (Rhein-Neckar Löwen) Reserves: Steffen Fäth (Füchse Berlin) Carsten Lichtlein (VfL Gummersbach) Steffen Weinhold (THW Kiel) Very sad that Weinhold isnt part of the team, this will hurt us a lot.
  5. Normally about half of the medal contenders win a medal and we have at least 20 medal contenders: Storl, Röhler, Vetter, Weber, C.Harting, R.Harting, Onnen, Holzdeppe (if fit), Heß, Abele, Kazmirek, Linke, Tesfaye, mens 4x100m relay, Schwanitz, Heidler, Stahl, Hussong, Fischer/Müller, Mihambo/Moguenara (if fit), Jungfleisch, Ryzih, Gierisch/Elbe, Schäfer, Roleder, Krause, womens 4x100m relay. Some of them are unlikely to win a medal, but Storl/Röhler/Vetter/R.Harting/Holzdeppe/Heß/Abele/Schwanitz/Heidler/Stahl/Hussong/Fischer/Roleder/Krause/Schäfer and maybe Moguenara and our womens 4x100m relay all are among the favorites to win a medal. For me the worst case would be that "only" Storl, Röhler, R.Harting, Abele, Schwanitz, Heidler, Hussong, Fischer, Roleder and Krause win a medal. I was actually disappointed by Lückenkemper at the european championships, i expected her to run at least sub 22.50s, we have to hope that she will peak in Rio. I think she has to be at least on the same level as Lalova if she wants to reach the final. I am clearly more optimistic about Klosterhalfen, not only because 12 athletes can reach the final in womens 1500m. I just hope that Klosterhalfen wont use all her energy at the junior world championships, where she wants to win two medals.
  6. 11 of our athletes are currently top 3 + Tesfaye (mens 1500m) + Linke (mens 20km race walking) + Holzdeppe (mens pole vault) + Heß (mens triple jump) + Onnen (mens high jump) + Weber (mens javelin throw) + Storl (mens shot put) + mens 4x100m relay + Krause (womens 3000m SC) + Roleder (womens 100m hurdles) + Mihambo (womens long jump) + Gierisch (womens triple jump) + Ryzih (womens pole vault) + Jungfleisch (womens high jump) + Stahl (womens javelin throw) + Schäfer (womens heptathlon). I think Holzdeppe, Heß, Storl, Krause, Roleder, Stahl and Schäfer all have a realistic chance for a medal. Do you think Lückenkemper or Klosterhalfen will reach the final in Rio?
  7. http://road-to-rio.com/ Here you can see his current position (you have to select men's 400m hurdles). I think he needs to hope that 3 faster guys (assuming that no russian athlete will be allowed to compete) decline their spot. I am not very optimistic, its very sad that Franz and Königsmark werent able to get back into their top shape. How many medals do you expect? I think 10-12 medals would be a good result for us.
  8. http://www.sueddeutsche.de/muenchen/sport/leichtathletik-nur-noch-drei-1.3077217 Same was true for Kock and Sujew, but both are now officialy in, because enough athletes ranked ahead of them declined their place.
  9. Sad that Bloomberg, Springsteen and Kessler didnt get selected, they wouldve added a lot of glamour, but probably good for their medal chances?
  10. Brash and Mendoza ... ? A lot of experience but on paper this team doesnt look too "frightening". Edit: Sorry, just saw that both of Brash's horses are injured. Very sad for team GB to lose their best rider.
  11. Very sad for Ahlmann, he was in such a good shape recently. In the end we wouldnt have won a medal anyway, so this probably wont change much. I am also sad that Krieg and probably also Meredith wont make the team. We always compete with Beerbaum, Deußer, Ehning, Ahlmann and never win anything ...
  12. Amazing! You are really the Totallympics equestrian expert. About Rothenberger: He is really an interesting person. He is 21 years old, 1.90m tall and BOTH his parents (Sven and Gonnelien) won silver for the Netherlands at 1996 olympics. Do you really think that we can beat GB, i dont think that we have a realistic chance and i think our riders got overscored at the german championships ... It would be amazing if we could win gold without Langehanenberg, Rath and the best horse of Werth. Do you think someone can beat Dujardin if she doesnt make huge mistakes? Would you say that Werth and Sprehe are the favorites for silver and bronze? About eventing: For me it would be a huge shock if we wouldnt win the team gold and i honestly also expect gold and silver in the individual event. About jumping: I think you are right about the favorites, but you really shouldnt forget Switzerland, i feel that they will win a medal, although i hope that i am wrong, i dont want to see Guerdat winning a medal. I hope that someone can finally stop the Netherlands but i dont think this will happen, they will win gold again. At the moment i see gold for the Netherlands and silver/bronze for 2 out of Switzerland/France/USA. On paper the french team seems to be the strongest, so i would predict them to win silver. Do you know how Ukraine got all those foreign athletes to compete for them? Would any of the german riders have been good enough to make the german team?
  13. Gulbis has whitdrawn and is replaced by Struff. Schiavone has whitdrawn and is replaced by Qiang, Schiavone/Knapp are replaced by Mitu/Olaru. German teams: Men's doubles: Petzschner/Kohlschreiber Women's doubles: Kerber/Petkovic, Siegemund/Grönefeld
  14. TEAM GERMANY MEN´S Alexander Zverev (Singles) Philipp Kohlschreiber (Singles, Doubles) Dustin Brown (Singles) Jan-Lennard Struff (Singles) Philipp Petzschner (Doubles) WOMEN´S Angelique Kerber (Singles, Doubles) Andrea Petkovic (Singles, Doubles) Annika Beck (Singles) Laura Siegemund (Singles, Doubles) Anna-Lena Grönefeld (Doubles)
  15. Didnt know that they planned to announce the team today ... Sadly we will send a lot of tourists. First we had very tough standards and now basically everyone possible got nominated ... I think the official explanation is that you cant have those tough standards when you have such a huge doping scandal at the same time. I am glad though to see Holzdeppe and Moguenara on the list, i hope they get fit in time, then they could challenge for a medal. Weber deserved to be nominated but Obergföll didnt in my opinion, its pretty sick that the current world champion (Molitor) didnt get nominated, i am very sorry for her and i am sure that she wouldve won a medal in Rio. Giehl has been improving steadily in the last weeks, so i understand that he got nominated although he didnt manage to make the standard of 49.40s, especially considering the weak level of competition in mens 400m hurdles at the moment. Basically the same is true for Dahm. I think the only reason why Erewa, Kosenkow, Schmidt, Hering, Burghardt, Ferenz and Kwadwo got nominated is that DOSB wanted to have as many athletes as possible in Rio. I am also glad for Heinle, he made the standard last year and i expect him to do much better than Camara in Rio. I dont like the fact that Kock, Krebs and Woitha got nominated, none of them will come close to the final.
  16. What are your expectations in Terms of medals? I see 3 pretty safe medals in decathlon, heptathlon and mens pole vault and 4 other decent medal chances in mens high jump, mens 100m, womens Long jump and womens 800m + some minor medal chances in mens 200m, mens 4x100m relay and mens 20km race Walking. Would you be satisfied with 5 medals and 0-1 of them in Gold?
  17. Who will be Player of the match/tournament? For me it should be Sissoko and Bale, but i think Griezmann or Ronaldo will be Player of the tournament.
  18. I feel very sad for Ronaldo and ist sad to again see him in tears after 2004. I hope Portugal will find a way to still win, but at the Moment France would deserve the victory. In the end everything went in their way (draw, injuries, Referees), so maybe ist just meant to be ...
  19. I think the worst possible result for you would be 2 Gold (mens and womens hammer throw) and 1 silver (mens discus). You also have a good Chance for a medal in mens 800m and womens high jump and smaller medal chances in mens 50km race Walking, mens 400m hurdles, mens pole vault, mens shot put, mens discus throw (Urbanek), mens hammer throw (Nowicki), womens 800m and womens 1500m. My prediction would be that you win 2 golds (mens hammer throw, womens hammer throw) and 4 more medals (mens discus throw, mens 800m, womens high jump and a second medal in mens discus/hammer throw). We were missing the following athletes: Holzdeppe (mens pole vault) Abele, Kazmirek (mens decathlon) Harting (mens discus throw) Klosterhalfen (womens 1500m) Moguenara (womens Long jump) Obergföll (womens javelin throw) (She wasnt nominated, but will probably be in Rio instead of Molitor, the current world Champion) Lückenkemper didnt run womens 100m individually Schäfer (womens heptathlon) All of them, maybe except for Klosterhalfen, couldve won a medal (at least if fit) and i think we will see all of them in Rio. Edit: I forgot Weber (mens javelin throw), he wasnt nominated but threw 88.04m today and should be in Rio together with Vetter and Röhler. German javelin throwers are now 1st (Röhler), 2nd (Vetter) and 4th (Weber) in world ranking.
  20. Licwinko maybe couldve challenged for Gold, but the other 3 not. In the end you clearly profited from the fact that most other nations were missing even more of their best athletes. I think of all your medal winners Kszczot, Malachowski, Fajdek, Wlodarczyk and maybe Nowicki have a Chance for a medal in Rio. The good Thing for you is that you have 2 almost safe Gold medals in hammer throw.
  21. Not yet ... If we win mens 4x400m relay and Poland doesnt win silver, then we win the medal table.
  22. Great result for Portugal in womens triple jump, their second Gold today, very good sign for the final tonight. I am happy that Poland won the medal table and not Turkey, i think they compete with their best Team and therefore deserved to win the medal table.
  23. Wow, Onoura Looks extremely frightening, i hope i will never meet her in Person ...
