So...... no team Golf, with one of the most exciting ideas. Sad. Mens road race needed a reduction and the womans an increse, good for that. Overall not bad, but nothing exciting.

So they only rhing they accepted was Extreme Canoe, literally the WORST option of the bunch

Rowing in open waters. They propose to use the same venue as sailing for that. In Coastal Rowing there are no lanes and the races are longer (at least 6k). They have to rotate in buoys also.

A 10k event (that could be held in the stadium or in road) and a 30k road one. But it only would happend if the tecnology for a better judging could be tested and it was confirmed efective. If not, they would do 20k and 35k. So, basically, we don't know nothing.

A golf team event with a Match Play format would be amazing. It doesn't need new quotas and offers something completely different. I hope they asked that cause I can see it happening

To be honest, some changes aren't even bad. It's just others are REALLY BAD, so it overshadows other decent changes. Another Race Walk event for women is needed. High Diving is fine, I wouldt mind it taking Artistic Swimmings spot tbh. Ligthweigth rowing adds nothing to the games. Coastal rowing is a developed and entreteining sport completely different to anything already on. I support that change. Same thing with Sailing. I get people not liking "mixed events", but it kind of makes sense in Sailing, and it opens the door for other exciting boats. Same thing for Mixed Skeet or mixed time trial, I can live with it being in the games. Aything else, garbage.

What could have Fencing asked for? Mixed weapon mixed team (lmao) event? Any other sport missing?

By IOC rules, FINA had to focus more on fixing the umbalance issue at Artistic Swimming before trying to add something new. Same for FIG and Rythmic Gimnastics. Why try to add aerobics or parkour when men can't still compete at one of their sports? At least FINA is, slowly, working on that and male artistic performers can compete at World or European championships. I'm still waiting FIG does SOMETHING. We all know what would happend if an International Federation would directly refuse to let the one gender take part in an sport in any way........

In one hand I would love Cross Country in the summer olympics (I'm more of a road racing fan, rather than track). If they are gpoing to add it to the summer events they have to do it right. They should take 10000m out (cause nobody cares about it), an put a full race. That rellay doesn't make any sense. HOWEVER, id rather had cross country relay than 4x400 mixed. So if they change those events, I would be happy.

Modern Pentathlon is sheeking approbal for a new competition format (the one I found rather odd...). All happening in 90 minutes and all in the same stadium (a gigant one, I imagine.....). Jumping now go first, and it would take only 20 minutes. Then is a 10 minute recess, then the fencing part, done with in 15 minutes. Anothger 10 minute break, 15 minutes for the whole swimming competition. Another 10 minutes rest ant the combined event.

Well, this sounds like fun! Ski jump would draw a lot of attention just for the weirdnest of the event, it could be a great headline maker! I like all the possible aditions (besides breaking). This would make the European Games way bigger. More team sports were needed, and Rugby 7s and beach handball work perfectly, although is sad they apparently took out beach football.

So, the off-shore sailing event proposed for Paris 2024 is starting to attract some interesting names: For Spain: Iker Martinez (2004 49er gold medallist, 2008 49er silver) and Natalia Via Dufresne (Silver in Barcelona92 in Europe and in 2004 in 470) have team for the next European Championships... With it being a more skill-driven tham physical event, I can see a lot of older great sailors giving it a go!

We all new Senegal wasn't ready..... Why didn't award the games to other nation and had them host in 2026 from the beginning??? Thomas Bach wanted the "Olympics hosted in Africa" before it was realistic. And that's the price to pay. Cause I don't buy that cheap excuse they are putting. They should let other country jump and host the 2022 ones,....

No word on Artistic Swimming when it's their biggest problem when we talk about equality in the games. If they boot the sport they would have room and quotas for everything else they are asking.....
