    That doesn't look good for us, unless Lucz was holding back, but this is 200m, so... The favorites for the medals are as I think it was expected.

    The next day will decide how good this SOG will be for Hungary, it's truly a Super Tuesday. The wrestling final of Tamás Lőrincz, the medal race of Zsombor Berecz, 3 Canoe Sprint finals where we can win (gold) medals, and maybe one more medal chance in wrestling with Alex Szőke in the repechages. Plus we will also play our QF against Netherlands in women's water polo. If we don't win at least one gold tomorrow, I will accept that at best we will have 3 gold in the end or maybe only 2.

    Oh man, everyone will be rooting against us, this can be the first Olympic gold medal ever.

    That was a crazy semi-final, I am not sure if the refs didn't help us, a lot happened. I feel like either the refs were in our favor or the Iranians messed it up. I think Garaei was the stronger wrestler on the mat today, his mistake (plus that second challange) gave Lőrincz a huge 6-1 lead. But hey, maybe this is our lucky day on these cursed Games, first women's handball and now this, luck was on our side.

    Yeah, this can be surprisingly close, disappointing Games for the Americans even if they win the medal table in the end.

    couldn't give less shit about the match, so we are in the QF with a lot of luck. Spain can't complain much, they messed this up big time, they shouldn't have lost their match against us. Congrats to our girls for not wasting this giant opportunity.

    v v v v Upper half of the bracket is weaker. I am not sure if Greece will ever get another chance like this to be in the SF, Montenegro seems beatable this time. Our QF can go both ways because Croatia is all over the place in terms of their results so far, but my guess is that they are the favorites of that match, not us. v v That's what I would guess, but three of these matches can go the other way, only Spain is securely in the SF, that QF should be an easy job against the Americans.

    Thanks. Well, let's hope there won't be any bullshit on the v match, that would be terrible no matter who wins.

    We can't complain because everything went right for us, now the girls' faith is in their hands again. But beating Sweden still seems like an impossible task because we aren't good.

    I am not sure if you have watched Lőrincz's match, but I similarly found on that match weird how the Japanese got his opportunity, I am assuming due to passivity. Not long before the call for parterre occurred Lőrincz was the one attacking and almost pushed the Japanese out, so I don't know why they would think he was the one being more passive. Anyway, it doesn't matter because he went through. I am worried because he doesn't seem to be in top form (yet), he was visibly tired by the end of the match and the Japanese almost surprised him at the end.

    Yeah, OBS is killing the sport with this, ISSF must be pissed. Just based on this coverage most people would say that shooting doesn't deserve to be a 15 gold medal discipline because it's close to being unwatchable.

    Officially no medal for us once again at the Summer Games in shooting. This was the last Games that I expected a medal from our shooters, even if Péni or Major literally wins everything in the next 3 years before Paris I will just expect one or two 5th/6th places at best because that's always what we get.

    Damn, I would have been happy if the Croatian would have won that challenge. That will be another hard fight for Lőrincz against Garaei in the semi-final.

    Good effort from Szőke against Evloev who's obviously on another level. Hopefully the Russian will help us out by winning his semi-final.

    Greco-Roman wrestling desperately needs the golden score system of judo. It's a joke when someone gets through because they waited until the second half to be more active, just so they get the advantage at 1-1.

    I was wrong, our boat is surprisingly weak. Someone will have to explain what happened here because this is embarrassing for Hungarian canoeing.

    Game over for in the group of death. Unless a miracle happens we will soon join them.

    The first opponent of Lőrincz didn't show up... This is the Olympic tournament and his competition starts in the QF. This obviously benefits us, but still, what a joke this small field of wrestlers is.

    Well, if this first day is any indication, women's kayak is v this time, let's see if we can win at least one gold or if the Kiwis will sweep. I have very little doubts about that Carrington is winning the two individual events, we will have to beat them in K2 and K4 somehow.

    Yeah, this can seriously mess up the program of some athletes. Like, it will be incredibly hard for Carrington, and to a lesser extent for some of our athletes who will compete in 3 events.
