  1. lol, is giving us all the opportunities in the world to save the match and ofc we can't score. Terrible display of water polo from both teams in the last quarter, not worthy of the Summer Games. In fact, Spain wasn't that great on this match either, a better team would have won it much more easily.
  2. Yeah... there's only one team in the pool, mistakes after mistakes from our team. It really is time to let Attila Bíró go as the coach of the Hungarian women's water polo team if we won't win a medal because this level of inconsistency is unacceptable on this level. On one day we can beat the best team in the world, on another day we can be defeated by almost every team. I am so fucking tired of it.
  3. I was watching water polo, wtf is happening in that pole vault final?
  4. It's likely game over. The girls have beaten themselves once again. 4th lost Olympic semi-final in a row. I wouldn't be surprised if the 4th lost bronze medal match is coming up. I just don't understand what's going on with this team.
  5. Another terrible match for us so far, there's no chance for the final if the girls play like this.
  6. lol, Marosi with the same results as Gulyás and Kovács, 20-15. He somewhat saved it as I think it was looking worse at 2/3 of the bouts, but still isn't a great start, he will need a perfect riding. And Kasza... he's already out with 15-20. Well... at least it's not over for us after one event but I wish at least one of them had a great day in fencing. Sadly Marosi and Gulyás couldn't repeat their great fencing scores from the WCh.
  7. Just by watching one hour of it I can safely say that this is by far the best addition to the program even with this weird combined event that shouldn't exist. This actually looks like an Olympic sport and it's also quite enjoyable to watch, easy to understand.
  8. Speaking of the two boats per race: at this point it's safe to say that only benefitted from this rule. I wouldn't be surprised if we got back to one boat per event for the next Games when only one country is taking full advantage of it, I assume the others aren't happy about that they are fighting two Hungarian boats while they can't qualify two boats for FA.
  9. We sure are benefitting from the pandemic, except nope, in most events we are performing like in 2019, just with two boats per event instead of one. Someone like Csipes didn't come out of nowhere, she was always this strong, she just couldn't defeat Kozák at the trials and we only had one boat per event.
  10. Can someone explain to me how this starts at 4:30pm local time? I mean, shouldn't this also be an early morning event like all the other long distance endurance races?
  11. Oh boy, v is getting interesting, the Russians have a 5-2 lead.
  12. That's a good, but not great fencing from our girls. Maybe there's still a somewhat good chance for a medal from them. Schleu had an amazing start, it will be really hard to defeat her if the riding won't mess her race up because she's strong in the laser run.
  13. Before the Games I thought that the realistic, not great, not terrible projection for is 5 gold and 15 total medals. We are at 5 gold and 15 total medals, from now on we can't say that this is a bad outcome for us given the current strengths and weaknesses of the Hungarian Olympic team. We have the same number of medals as in Rio and much more 4th* places, I think it's safe to say that in many ways we are performing on the same level as Rio, if not better, we are just a bit short on gold medals.
  14. Anyway, this is a terrible Games for Europe in Canoe Sprint so far in terms of gold medals, only 1984 is comparable where won 4 gold medals, but obviously many of the strongest countries missed that Games. is in danger of not winning any gold medals, if we ignore 1984 this would be the first time since 1972 without a German gold. Fortunately for them men's K4 is still coming up as their last chance (there's also MC1), similarly to how K4 is our last chance to beat the Kiwis in women's kayak.
  15. Hm, that seems too early for her, 32 isn't that old in this sport, she would very likely be a medal contender in Paris like Kozák in Tokyo.
  16. To be fair, before the Games I would have said that we won't be in the Top6 in this event, huge improvement from Nádas/Kopasz, good sign for the future.
  17. Yep, another 4th place, this really is that kind of Olympic Games for us. Still a good result for , I didn't expect a medal in this event. Big disappointment for , second lost gold after MC2 where they were the favorites.
  18. Great race from Csipes, this was definitely Carrington's hardest fight at these Games. And we are collecting the 4th places even here, two 4th places today.
  19. No matter what happens with K2 and K4, the fact that we went from the 0 medals of men's kayak in Rio to 2 gold and 1 silver of Tokyo in the individual events is unbelievable, perfect outcome for us in these events.
  20. Terrible moment for the US in athletics, but here's their first Canoe Sprint gold in a very long time.
  21. What in the world, what's going on what the US today.
  22. Yeah, Rizza was stronger in the last 100m, incredibly close final, as always in this event.
  23. At the last K1 200 of the Olympic Games it finally gave us an Olympic champion. Tótka won thanks to his amazing start.
  24. Good thing that we had two boats in this event, Béke/Varga was supposed to be our #1 K2 boat based on the Hungarian trials and now they are in FB while our #2 boat is in FA.
