  18. has a good chance to get the quota eventually, this event is a lower priority than the 2024 Olympic qualifiers series. So as long as gets two of the six quotas on offer it will get redistributed.
  19. TBH I’d argue that in short track winning the 4Cs is more impressive than winning the Europeans. Like sure it‘s just but that’s, what, two of the three best countries on both the men’s and women’s side and consistently four of the eight best countries in both genders?
  20. It’s because Europe already had a continental championship and there isn’t enough depth to justify a standalone North American or Asian championship. Curling and all skating sports have two “continental” championships like this, one for Europe and the other for the rest of the world.
  21. The Liu brothers were born and raised in Hungary and had significant Hungarian ancestry so…
  22. John-Henry Krueger will also no longer compete for Hungary.
  23. Christine de Bruin, Bobsleigh athlete and Beijing 2022 bronze medalist in the monobob, received a three year suspension for using an anabolic agent. She has waived her right to an appeal and admitted to the violation. This doping violation does not affect her Olympic results. Her career is now effectively over.
