  1. I have no idea on the Kimia Alizadeh story. But as a refugee, I guess for her it's a good thing that she managed to get a citizenship, passport, etc. If many athletes can change nationalities, I don't see the fuzz to question her ties with Bulgaria. But yeah... regarding Alireza I think there are 3 options: - either he will compete with another country (which?) - or Yahya Al Ghotany will grab his quota at 68kg (as the quota is for the NOC) -or the bronze medallist from Asian Qualifier will get his quota
  2. I just made a quick count on how the Brazilian athletes are at the moment in Road to Paris summary: 20 women qualified (3 with ES, 17 ranking) + 3 or 4 probable reallocations as they are in the top3 of alternates 20men (10 with ES, 10 ranking) + 2 or 3 possible reallocations (as they are in the top5 of alternates) WOMEN 100m F (56/3r) Vitória Rosa (23), Ana Carolina Azevedo (51), Lorraine Martins (56) 200m F (48/1r) Ana Carolina Azevedo (27) 400m F (48/1r) Tiffani Marinho (37) 800m F (48/1r) Flavia Maria de Lima (40) 110mh F (40/0r) - / ... / Ketiley Batista (43, 3 alt) 400mh F (40/1r) Chayenne da Silva (25) 3000ms F (36/1r) Tatiane Raquel da Silva (26) / ... / Simone Ferraz (38, 2 alt) HJ F (32/1r) Valdileia Martins (30) PV F (32/1r) Juliana de Menis Campos (21) LJ F (32/2r) Eliane Martins (23), Lissandra Maysa Campos (30) / ... / Leticia Oro Melo (33, 1 alt*) TP F (32/1r) Gabriele Santos (14) SP F (32/1r) Ana Caroline Silva (32) / ... / Livia Avancini (34, 2 alt) DT F (32/1ES+1r) Izabela da Silva (14Q) + Andressa de Morais (21) JT F (32/1r) Jucilene Sales de Lima (9) 20km F (48/2ES+1r) Viviane Lyra (14Q), Erica Sena (25Q) + Gabriela de Sousa (45) MEN 100m M (56/2ES+1r) Felipe Bardi (12Q), Erik Cardoso (14Q) + Paulo André Camilo (23) 200m M (56/2r) Renan Gallina [Correa] (27), Jorge Vides (40) 400m M (48/3ES) Matheus Lima (16Q), Alison dos Santos (20Q), Lucas Carvalho (24Q) 800m M (48/0) - / ... / Eduardo Ribeiro (53, 5alt) 110mh M (40/1ES+1r) Rafael Pereira (16Q) + Eduardo Rodrigues (21) / ... / Denner Cordeiro (44, 4alt) 400mh M (40/2ES) Alison dos Santos (5Q), Matheus Lima (23Q) HJ M (32/1r) Fernando Ferreira (19) / ... / Thiago Moura (43, 11alt) LJ M (32/1r) Lucas Marcelino dos Santos (24) / ... / Gabriel Luiz Boza (46, 14alt) TJ M (32/1ES) Almir dos Santos (9Q) / ... / Mateus de Sá (44, 12alt) SP M (32/1ES+1r) Darlan Romani (6Q) + Wellington Morais (19) / ... / Willian Dourado (40, 8alt) DT M (32/0) - / ... / Wellinton Fernandes da Cruz Filho (40, 8t) HT M (32/0) - / ... / Allan Wolski (40, 8 alt) JT M (32/1r) Pedro Henrique Rodrigues (19) / ... / Luiz Mauricio da Silva (43, 11alt) M M (80/1ES) Daniel do Nascimento (45Q) D M (24/1r) Jose Fernando Ferreira Santana, "Balotelli" (22) 20km M (48/1ES+1r) Caio Bonfim (7Q) + Matheus Correa (39) / ... / Max Batista Gonçalves dos Santos (51, 3alt)
  3. The 3 male quotas are because some players got quotas on 2 events: - Toma Junior Popov (MS, MD) - SEO Seung Jae (MD, XD) - Vinson CHIU (MD, XD) So, according to the last paragraph on the final table from D section the quotas go to This, obviously, if the countries select their best athletes (as they could still select other athletes as long as they are in a qualifying position. But I'm a bit lost on why this wikipedian gave away so many more quotas. Or any references to Australia/NZL forfaiting their singles quotas.
  4. Thanks!!! Was there any official statement?
  5. Has Kasia Wasick managed to get an OQT during the window stablished by the Polish Federation?
  6. Hey, by any chance have you done an update after the Chinese Nationals, plese?
  7. The same happened to Brazil, with their internal criteria. One journalist said that in order to have bigger storage room, the Brazilian sailing federation decided to forget their own rules and take all boats.
  8. The developing nation is specific to countries that did not participated in that class in the last two editions. I agree with you that is a bit odd - at least in name. This is the full list I like the idea, but perhaps should be give to countries without representation AT ALL?
  9. Well, they have a clear qualification rules, although one can oppose to it...
  10. I understood now. First of all, Australia rejected its quota on the Oceania championhsips. Then the quotas went to the Developing Nations Program, not the Emerging Nations Program....
  11. I wonder if there will be more races apart from medal race? If so, we could see changes
  12. https://sof.regatta.ffvoile.fr/en/default/races/race-resultsall on this table every contender for ENP is clearly signed. There are no ENP quotas on 49er and 49er FX...
  13. They got Estonia right (now i realize), but this means 8 quotas???
  14. Apparently Austria and Switzerland got quotas on women's (don't ask me why) and Finland and Slovakia got on men https://www.sailing.org/2024/04/25/czech-1-2-seals-nations-olympic-spot-in-windsurfing/
  15. Don't forget your jinx against Camargo in the fencing OQC!
  16. I don't understand how the relay event will happen only 1h50 after the men's.
  17. I'm pretty sure Casper Puggaard is not elegible for the Universality quota as he was not on the Danish rooster for the 23 or 24 WC. Only Liggjas JOENSEN participated (representing Faroe Islands). From the OQD I would assume they would select the Universality before the OCT, but one never knows.
  18. Just being a bit of douchebag and saying I got it right here
  19. I used to have a list, but many athletes are doubled as they have many A standards. Next time I update it will try to bring it here.
  20. Is there any mathematical chance that other countries get the quota?
  21. Now the only thing France still needs to decide is the venue
  22. After all that bad press predicting disaster at Rio, it will be a bit curious if something like this happens in Paris. I wonder if they would not do something to get a good water result in the previous days and go forward.
  23. My understanding is that he can only play XD, but if he qualifies in single as well, he can compete in singles AND his "double quota" gets reallocated to another single player so that TT can fill their number of quotas.
