  1. All weight classes are open entry (I’m pretty sure), so it depends on which events Wrestling Canada decides to send athletes in. I’m not exactly sure if Morais (and A. Godinez) will be our representatives at the World Qualification Tournament, given they failed to secure a quota at a much easier opportunity. Probably will go with Di Bacco (in women’s 68kg) and Wiecker/Stewart (in women’s 53kg)
  2. Two Olympic quotas in men’s freestyle wrestling at the Pan American Qualifier! Amar Dhesi qualifies himself for Paris in men’s 125kg, while Alexander Moore does the same in men’s 86kg! Overall, 5 quotas is a decent haul but I was expecting more from Morais and A. Godinez.
  3. Alexander Moore qualifies for Paris in men’s 86kg wrestling!
  4. Thank you, I thought US would’ve gone with the same athletes. Thomas Gilman is another name that could be challenging for a quota.
  5. Those are by far the two weakest US men’s freestyle weight classes, with this their best (and probably only) chance at securing a quota. I can’t see any US athlete placing among the top three at the World Qualifier.
  6. Saw something on Ealey’s story about her suffering a groin injury just a day ago. 19.67m and a women’s shot put bronze medal is seriously impressive considering the circumstances.
  7. TYR Pro Swim Series Westmont Psych Sheets: https://swimswam.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/2024-pss-westmont-pre-scratch-psych-sheet.pdf All sessions will be live-streamed on the USA Swimming app, free of charge. Wish they would just stream it on YouTube though. @Topicmaster1010 @dullard
  8. Christian Coleman is the World Indoor Champion in men’s 60m, clocking 8.41! Great start by him damn. Noah Lyles wins silver (6.44), and Ackeem Blake wins bronze (6.46)
  9. Men’s 60m final up next Can’t wait for the Lyles v. Coleman battle
  10. Ryan Crouser wins men’s shot put gold with a best throw of 22.77m, a new CR! Not far off the indoor WR either. Tom Walsh wins silver (22.07) and Leonardo Fabbri (21.96m) wins bronze.
  11. Noor Vidts defends her pentathlon World Indoor title, tallying 4773 points! Saga Vaninen wins silver with 4677 points, and Sofie Doktor wins bronze with 4571 points.
  12. Third attempt clearance at 1.99m for Olyslagers She’s now the new World Indoor Champion in women’s high jump. @dullard
  13. @Cinnamon Bun what do you mean “as per usual” the gap between and in women’s water polo is quite noticiable The difference between Canada and Great Britain in women’s water polo is that Canada is capable of upsetting a medal contending team at the Olympics (ex. Greece, Hungary, and Italy. Don’t think Canada has a chance against Netherlands, Spain, and United States) and qualifying for the quarterfinals while for Great Britain it would about damage limitation (unless they face South Africa, which would be an easy win for them) Great Britain are trending in the right direction though, that win against Israel at the European Championships was HUGE for them. Definitely wouldn’t have expected them to win it.
  14. It’s because there’s quite a few names I would put above them. Of course some of them did get eliminated before some of the GB surfers, but off the top of my head here’s who would be favoured over any of them. Men Leandro Usuna Rio Waida Ramzi Boukhiam Sebastian Williams Manuel Selman Cody Young Joan Duru Miguel Tudela Frederico Morais Leon Glatzer Dylan Groen Women Luana Silva Erin Brooks Mathea Olin Francisca Veselko Yolanda Seqeira Dominica Barona Daniella Rosas Sol Aguirre Noah Klapp Rachel Presti Camila Kemp Leilani McGonagle Siqi Yang Amuro Tsuzuki Mahina Maeda Paige Hareb Anat Leilor Noa Leilor Nadia Erostarbe Candelaria Resano Chelsea Tuach
  15. First session of the event for me I was sick yesterday afternoon, but now that I’ve got some sleep I’m feeling much better now
  16. You were thinking Great Britain would pick up an Olympic quota here? Lol. I mean it certainly was possible, but any of the six Great Britain athletes were far from favourites (and unlikely contenders). Sky Brown wasn’t even expected to make it this far, sucks that she fell just short on creating history for your country, but this is an extremely positive result for her.
  17. Men’s Freestyle Semifinals (2 OQPs in each weightclass) 57kg Oscar Tigeros v. Roman Bravo Young Darian Cruz v. Zane Richards 65kg Austin Gomez v. Lachlan McNeil Alejandro Valdes v.
