  1. Scarlett Delgado (women’s 54kg) through to the quarterfinals at the World Boxing Olympic Qualifier after defeating Azerbaijan 5-0! Will take on Serbian Sara Cirkovic for an Olympic quota tomorrow.
  2. I’m not sure, sorry.
  3. Good for her, but unfortunately no chance at an Olympic quota as she has Luana Marton next.
  4. @Biathlonfan what’s the schedule for elite shot put/discus throw/hammer throw/javelin throw? I’m seeing only U23 hammer throw at the moment.
  5. Surprised to see this being streamed on CBC Sports, especially considering Canada is one of the weaker nations in the sport of pentathlon
  6. He also wins gold in men’s dual moguls for his 89th career WC victory! His races today were in honour of his doctor, who died yesterday. May he rest in peace.
  7. Dual Moguls WC Almaty | Almaty, Kazakstan Women Gold- Jakara Anthony Silver- Jaelin Kauf Bronze- Olivia Giaccio Men Gold- Mikael Kingsbury Silver- Pavel Kolmakov Bronze- Landon Wendler Nice 4th for Severi Virela Full Results
  8. Humana-Parades/Wilkerson through to the gold medal match at the Doha Elite 16 after defeating Samoilova/Graudina 2-1! (21-17, 20-22, 15-12) Probably one of my biggest hopes for an Olympic medal this summer, really hoping they can get it done. This is a big step in the right direction. Great comeback in sets one and three. They were 10-15 down in set one and 2-6 down in set three (I was seriously about to write them off after that) but managed to fight back and win both sets.
  9. Mel/Brandie through to the gold medal match at the Doha Elite 16, defeating Latvia 2-1! (21-17, 20-22, 15-12) They were 10-15 down in set one, and 2-6 down in set three but still managed to turn it around!
  10. New WL in men’s long jump, as Wayne Pinnock records 8.40m at the NCAA Indoor Championships!

  15. Canada loses 6-2 to Norway in the gold medal match, and will have to settle for the silver.
  16. First three days of the TYR Pro Swim Series Westmont are over, here are some of the highlight swims. #1: Regan Smith’s 200m Butterfly (2:04.80) #2: Regan Smith’s 100m Backstroke (57.64) #3: Torri Huske’s 100m Butterfly (56.13)
  17. Sara Kali (women’s 66kg) wins her bout 5-0 against Latvia to advance to the R16 at the World Boxing Olympic Qualifier. Now two wins away from an Olympic quota. Honestly, I wouldn’t be mad if she doesn’t earn one, Cavanaugh has a much better chance at an Olympic medal anyways.
  18. Good for them but hardly surprising given how much Duda/AP struggled to teams levels below them in prior games.
  19. Mikael Kingsbury with his 88th career WC victory at the Almaty WC! 10.00 points shy of the men’s moguls Crystal Globe though unfortunately.
  20. Moguls WC Almaty | Almaty, Kazakstan Women Gold- Jakara Anthony (82.74) Silver- Alli Macuga (76.17) Bronze- Hannah Soar (73.84) Men Gold- Mikael Kingsbury (84.89) Silver- Ikuma Horishima (83.48) Bronze- Matt Graham (80.81) Kingsbury falls just short of the moguls Crystal Globe Full Results
  21. Going for GOLD! Canada defeats Sweden 4-2 in the semifinals, and will take on Norway for the world title at 6:00 PST/9:00 EST (match will be streamed on the Curling1spoon YouTube channel)
  22. Cordano Russell, Ryan Decenzo, and Matt Berger all through to the semifinals at WST Dubai! Should give them all a nice boost towards their Olympic Ranking.
  23. Unfortunate, but I believe that’ll mean will have more of a chance at a quota now? Edit: I completely forgot about the max four weight-classes, and Australia can’t qualify in all of them so 1-2 of them should secure a quota.
  24. BOXING UPDATE Six Canadian athletes are still alive after five days of competition.
