  1. Men’s sabre team qualifies for Paris as the highest ranked nation from the Pan Americas (outside the top four) through the Olympic Rankings!
  2. Well there goes our hope of qualifying in trap. I wish we had secured a quota (obviously) but we’ve had so many bad results throughout the OQP that I’m hardly disappointed. I’ve kind of just learned to accept it.
  3. Women’s Final Gold- Sally Fitzgibbons (13.10 / 6.83+ 6.27) Silver- Tatiana Weston-Webb (12.24 / 6.77+ 5.47) Bronze- Johanne Defay (12.00 / 6.00 + 6.00) Copper- Nadia Erostarbe (9.57 / 4.90 + 4.67)

  5. LET’S GO!!!!!
  6. You really think Lithuania has no chance against Italy? Lol. Lithuania is the group favourite at the moment, and if Sabonis decides to play in it, the odds for you only increase. Banchero’s choice to represent US over Italy also helps.
  7. Swoboda wins silver in 7.00, and Zaynab Dosso wins bronze in 7.05!
  8. 6.98 for Alfred in the women’s 60m!! First ever medal for Saint Lucia at a World Indoor Championships! Edit: And what a time, as she equals the =WL

  11. Grant Holloway wins the men’s 60m hurdles World Indoor Title in 7.29! Lorenzo Simonelli wins silver in 7.43, and Just Kwao-Mathey wins bronze in 7.47.
  12. Molly Caudery is the women’s pole vault World Indoor Champion, with her 2nd attempt clearance at 4.80m! She beats out Eliza McCartney on countback (3rd attempt clearance at 4.80), while Katie Moon wins bronze, suffering a rare defeat with a best mark of 4.75m.
  13. New NR for Alexander Doom, as he takes the men’s World Indoor title in 45.25! Karsten Warholm wins silver (45.35), and Rusheen McDonald wins bronze (45.65)
  14. My stupid broadcast froze right as the race was about to start, I can’t believe I missed that

  19. Not mathematically guaranteed yet, but I believe Canada has pretty much qualified in men’s team sabre. United States has a 80 point buffer on #5 Italy. Canada has a 71 point buffer on #16 Poland, and no other Pan American nation is among the top 16. There’s only 64 points at maximum available per WC, with only two stops left to go.
  20. @Laraja Shouldn’t Wozniacki be highlighted as a grand slam quota rather than Osaka? Wozniacki has more points.
  21. Michelle Li is through to the semifinals at the BWF Super 300 German Open!
  22. I agree. She’d certainly be in with more of a chance at Olympic medal, should Canada eventually secure a women’s 68kg quota. But there’s not much separating the two. Edit: But normally, if an athlete fails to secure a wrestling Olympic quota at a continental tournament, they normally switch out the athlete for the Final World Qualification Tournament. Not always the case of course. @Surlympics
