  1. Paige Hareb misses out on the Olympics yet again
  2. More (bad) news, Maggie MacNeil has decided that Paris 2024 will be her final Olympics, at age 24, as she wants to enroll in law school within the next two years. Big hit to our medal chances in the women’s 100m butterfly, and our women’s 4x100m freestyle/medley relay.
  3. I’m convinced that half of you don’t understand what a “lock” is A lot of athletes/teams mentioned are favourites, but hardly locks.

  14. Swiatek* and okay? Olympic tennis tournaments have been known to produce a lot of upsets, nothing is set in stone. Take Rio 2016 for example, literally NO ONE was expecting Puig to win gold in women’s singles, but she did. She is certainly the heavy favourite as of now though.
  15. What an incredible goal by Pelayo

  17. Sorry I disagree with both, I wouldn’t consider Swiatek to be a “lock” And while he is the favourite, it wouldn’t be a big upset if Lyles doesn’t win gold unlike the 200m.

  21. A well deserved first ever Scotties title for Tracy Fleury after heartbreak at the last Olympic Trials For some context, Team Fleury was undefeated at 8-0 heading into the final. In the final, Fleury rubbed a guard on her last in the extra end, handing Team Jones the win.
  22. Team Homan wins the Scotties title with a 5-4 win over Team Jones. I’m a Team Homan fan, but still sad that this is the last time I’ll ever be seeing Jennifer Jones on the ice as part of a four-person team. What a career though.
