    I’m curious, as we’re only days out from the Olympics I’m wondering… who are your picks for the Canadian medalists at Paris? Already shared mine here, although perhaps it’s a tad on the optimistic side.

    Canada’s women’s team defeats Australia 77-74! First exhibition with our WNBA players back, and our second before the Olympics begin (we play Spain tomorrow)

    He 5-0’d all of his opponents at the Pan Am Games (mind you not the strongest of continental competitions I know, but still should be taken into consideration) and while I don’t think it warrants him being in the top half of the rankings, I thought maybe he’d be a little bit higher (never said top 8)

    1 day (or 1280 minutes) to go until the first Olympic event starts!! So fucking excited!

    I will also point out that considering it’s more fast paced, it’s a much better option for those who don’t want to (or have the time to) watch a full two hour basketball game.

    I just don’t have them medaling You can’t pick all of your medal chances to make the podium, and the competition is tough.

    You might want to read that again, I’m talking about the women’s team. Men’s team is probably the 2nd most likely team to medal behind the US. They almost blew their 20 point lead against Puerto Rico though (I’m pretty sure you were watching as well, but they got it down to 6 at some point), so I’m not that convinced. On the plus side, SGA was pretty much a non-factor in terms of scoring so at least the depth is there for the guys to step up.
