  3. Not your fault Laraja but those rankings (as published by the UCI) are wrong. They’ve made a mistake with the European championships (AFAIK!)

  4. Anna Blinkova needed 10 match points to see off Elena Rybakina in three sets. She also saved 6 MP in the Super Tiebreak. 22-20 is the longest tie-break in women's Grand Slam match ever.

  5. Half of Slovakia was up this night as our first 2 picks of the 2022 draft met for the very first time in NHL and its 1:0 Slaf. Slaf opened the score while Nemec was sitting in the front seat right next to him Nemec despite a -3 ended the game at least with an assist too, a couple of nice stolen pucks (one really nice against Slaf) and another huge portion of 22 minutes of Ice Time ! Both 19 years old kids playing in their first lines. A special night for Slovaks. Was great to be up this night. Thanks boys, we proud of you Slaf Goal Nemec assist on the tying goal

  7. Y'all need to let these two rest. They've earned it dammit Honestly, assuming they want to race, it is cool that they show up every once in a while and try to be competitive.

  9. Meanwhile on the sliding track, it looks more and more like the women's monobob is indeed going to be the least open competition of all: Maja Voigt definitely looks like she's going to run away with this, as one would have expected beforehand. And Latvia is still very much on course for at least 3-4 skeleton medals, where 2 golds + 2-3 other medals wouldn't even be surprising at all. Super strong team!

  15. Can't believe that Barber is gone! During the 2015 Pan Am Games I sent a couple of athletes friends request on facebook. He not only accepted but was always super friendly and during the Rio Games we chatted a bit more and he even wrote he would try to get me tickets for the pole vault final. Was super happy to read his come out post on facebook in the spring of 17, but hard to know what was it about. Afterwards he disappeared from social media and his results got a bit behind as well.

  26. Retired 40 years old Anastasiya Kuzmina and Matej Kazár are in the final roster for the European Championships. Kuzmina will start in Sprint & Mixed Relay, Matej Kazár in Sprint 34 countries overall are expected to compete, since it is a open European Champs, Osrblie will see also biathletes from & Fun fact: If all registered teams will show, the host country will not be allowed to start in the Mixed Single Relay, as we are currently behind the Top 30 Nations of the IBU ranking, but there still a chance to overpass some countries right in Osrblie in the first events and somehow avoid the total shame to not start the single relay at home https://www.slovenskybiatlon.sk/2144-na-domacich-me-11-clenov-novej-generacie-povedu-kapitani-ktori-uz-pred-rokmi-ukoncili-karieru

  27. Kinda interesting info from our wrestling star, 2-time Olympic medalist Zhan Beleniuk (who also, if you don't know, is a politician). In his speech, he noticed this: "The developed criteria should be in line with Ukraine's interests. Those people who supported or are supporting the war, who have been identified as participants in propaganda activities, for example, standing next to Putin and glorifying the Russian authorities and their leader, should not be able to participate in international competitions. In particular, I have information that some Russian wrestlers have already been blocked. They are now confused and do not know what to do, as they planned to take part in the Olympic Games, but this opportunity is still closed," the politician noted. Considering that, maybe a trio of dumpsters, also known as Uguev-Sadullaev-Sidakov can be possibly banned due to attendance of Luzhniki action. If that's would be the true, it really is a great news.

  35. I had some time, and so I looked through the current entries (of course, athletes can still withdraw/DNS from events). There are two athletes who competed in Beijing 2022 before competing at Gangwon 2024. Ski Jumping - Anezka Indrackova (30th in 2022) Snowboard - Lee Chaeun (18th in halfpipe 2022) NOTE: I checked the entries against an archived version of the Beijing 2022 results system, so mistakes are possible.

  36. they finished the SuperLega regular season undefeated (which was a fantastic result) but then choked in the playoff and lost the QF series 3-2 to the 8th seed Milano. and this CL season was a bit weird, ZAKSA almost got eliminated tonight. they came from 2-0 behind (almost lost the 3rd set too) against that Belgian Club to win 3-2 and stay alive.

  41. Hi all. Finished work on my spreadsheets (for now). There are 2 separate ones for now, but they're linked to each other. One goes day by day, the other is sport by sport.. Paris 2024 competition schedule by Day Paris 2024 competition schedule by Sport I'll update these as more of the schedule gets filled out, like matchups in team sports and breakdown of individual events in sports like swimming (I have the track events in athletics broken down by time. If anyone has additional information to add or new schedules get released, I'll add them here. Don't know how much I'll keep up during the games as the team sports reach the elimination rounds, but anyone who wants to help is more than welcome! And if anyone has any suggestions on how to make improvements here, I'm open to opinions. Thanks!
