In better news El Nahas is in the quarterfinals in judo after two easy fights. He faces world number one Varlam Liparteliani next.

Shady is looking good, he dominated the 9th seed from Azerbaijan, a judoka who he lost too earlier this year. Just wow.

Oleksiak was faster in the individual 200m free finals on a flat start, Smith was over a second faster in the prelims. Not a great performance by either of them.

 

Summer had a big drop from the individual 200 free tho.

Looks like the fencing team should beat Hungary and with that would guarantee best ever placement for a Canadian fencing athlete/team at hte Olympics

Canada's best fencing finish is 4th (Athens 2004 women's team épée).

Probably confused because Harvey has Canada's best individual fencing finish (7th from Rio).

In women's rugby 7s Canada lost to 26-12... this is extremely ominous.
