BREAKING: #NovakDjokovic's lawyers have said he was granted an exemption to compete in the #AusOpen after testing positive for #COVID19 on December 16

Scotty dog doesn't approve this, because getting Covid in Serbia isn't the same as getting Covid in other places.

Or maybe if you claim to have tested positive you shouldn't attend public events where everyone can take photos of you, and then cry because the big bad Aussies don't believe you.

Yeah, that December 16 story sounded way too deus ex machina as soon as I heard it today. I just knew some inconsistencies would pop up immediately. :p

Everyone knows Djokovic's lawyers will try to find a plausible excuse. Well, the first attempt kinda failed. Let's see what they come up with tomorrow ;)

this's becoming really boring , but i honestly blame Australian authorities more than Novak , if they told him from beginning it's either being vaccinated or never this wouldn't happen

The Australian authorities didn’t tell him anything it was the Australian Tennis association and that is the crucial point in this whole story and big difference.

Australian politicians can always throw Tennis Australia under the bus and Djokovic gets swept away in the process. Serbian fans don't vote in the Australian elections after all :p

There are quite a lot of Serbs in Aus, but I don’t know if they occupy crucial swing constituences.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
