the final start list
https://www.iwf.net/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2018/10/Start_Book_Ashgabat.pdf
Ilya Ilyin is still there but apparently he is not going to actually lift anything here. and only 8 Iranians here. instead of 10 and those 3 weightlifters who were supposedly wasn't included in the original entry list are still absent. we will know the truth about it soon. but I believe our federation probably made a big big administrative mistake in registering them.
interesting that Martirosyan put 440kg as entry ! which means he has to start at least with 420. he is either very dumb or in a very great shape. big challenge for Nurudinov. and guess who is back !!! Andrei Aramnau after 4 years !
out of our 8 weightlifters, one of them is in Group B. and from the rest I believe Moradi has a very good chance for the gold (unless he bombs out) Hashemi also will have a good chance for gold (or at least a medal) if Ilyin really doesn't show up.. in this weight Beiralvand has the 3rd entry behind Ilyin and Hashemi. still hard to believe he is a medal chance ! also a very slim chance for Barari. the rest are just here to make the numbers . one of the worst teams we sent in past few years. but at least most of them are young. and suppose to be talented. and this is one of the rare years in which we are not a medal chance in super heavyweight. last year we had 2 on the podium ... Salimi is retired now and Alihosseini is a bit injured and took a break.
this is the list of weightlifters with the highest entry in each weight
55kg: OM Yun Chol, 285kg
61kg: QIN Fulin & MOSQUERA Francisco & THACH Kim Tuan, 310kg
67kg: CHEN Lijun, 330kg
73kg: SHI Zhiyong, 348kg
81kg: LYU Xiaojun & LI Dayin & ASAYONAK Petr & MAHMOUD Mohamed & KARAPETYAN Andranik, 370kg
89kg: KHADASEVICH Pavel, 373kg
96kg: MORADI Sohrab, 410kg
102kg: HASHEMI Ali & ILYIN Ilya, 400kg
109kg: MARTIROSYAN Simon, 440kg
+109kg: TALAKHADZE Lasha, 460kg

Road to TISC Open 2018
So as we count down the days towards the Grand Final of TISC Open 2018, as with tradition, it's time to kick-off the "Road to TISC" series. This year, the series will be take stock of the roots of the contest and explore the history of each nation in our wonderful contest.
It is the intention to revamp the TISC History thread in the near future so that the history is much more accessible to anyone who wishes to go delve into the history or to spend an afternoon reminiscing. While we will continue working on that, let's take a brief look at the history of each of the 57 nations (not forgetting Antarctica of course!) who participated in our fun contests.
So let's begin with looking at Bulgaria, followed later this evening by Azerbaijan and Croatia.

she did never played at the Olympic Games, but she was part of the Italian women's Volleyball team that won the 2002 World Championships...
Sara Anzanello died earlier today at the age of 38, after a long fight against the consequences of a fulminant epatitis she got in 2013 while playing her club Volley in Azerbaijan (she did have a liver transplant too, 5 years ago)...

Gianlu33 reacted to Henry_Leon in Football 2018 Discussion Thread
Almost a year after "the big failure" (out of WC 2018), the Italian Football Federation FIGC have a new president: Gabriele Gravina, the former president of Lega Pro (3rd tier), has received 97.2 % of votes (was the only nominee). He will be in charge until 2020.
Now the Italian football can restart, the new governance will have to try to implement the reforms, that have been awaited for many years, and try to bring back our football at the top of the world.
A lot of work to do, and not a lot of time for do it.
