It is, no interpretation or anything, a clear rule. That Spanish player screwed her team big time.

Wow that was an absolute thriller. I had to follow it by radio and even then I was on the edge of my seat.
I agree that the ending was a bit anticlimatic. But what matters now is... WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

Would love to know some more of the backstory .
Happy to see gaining more and more recognition. Hopefully they make it to the Olympics one day.

Definitely. The song "Do svidanya, Moskva" is planted deep inside my heart and will always be the best Olympic song.

i've a strange nostalgia to this moment of sochi 2014 WOG closing ceremony , i watched this video maybe 100 times last week or something and also the one from 1980 SOG , one of the most emotional closing ceremonies in history of OG

What an idiotic decision right before the OQT. How the fuck dare they do this to a national team? I have never seen something like this before in a team sport. He cursed and was angry at the delegates for making some very questionable calls. International Federations usually give some fine for this, not suspend the coach from ALL activities. Absolutely ridiculous.

Tough question.
The greatest Olympic moment of the decade - David Rudisha winning the 800m in a new WR with two NRs and four PBs from the athletes who followed him home.
Greatest British Olympic moment - We have been fortunate to have a lot of those but for me Nick Skelton winning the equestrian jumping gold medal at the age of 58 at his seventh Olympics after being told he would never ride again after breaking his back was very emotional.
Greatest Paralympic moment - The enthusiasm of the capacity crowds for the 2012 Games which took the Paralympics to a whole new level. Then four years later attendances at the Paralympics surpassing those at the Olympics.
General international sport - 2012 Ryder Cup or "Miracle in Medinah" when Europe's golfers went into the last day trailing the USA 10-6 and came back in the face of hostile crowds to win 14.5-13.5.
Domestic sport - I'm not a football fan but even I got caught up in my home town club Leicester City winning the English Premier League at odds of 5,000/1 in the 2015/16 season.

I'd also liked to share another special moment but unfortunately it was in the last decade particularly at WOG in Turin my first ever time to watch winter sports and it was by luck as I was in Canada at this time and ofc all Canadian channels talking about the Olympics and me at the beginning saying what the fuck are these guys doing in snow And what a boring 2 weeks it'll be with Sports Channels Which was almost the only ones I was watching at cable TV that time , but I really felt in love with WOG and I watched literally every event of this Olympics on TV and I was lucky enough to have a break from school at that time due to a strike from teachers or the 2nd term holiday can't remember well

The 2010 and 2014 World Cups go a long way here. Netherlands beating Brazil on a comeback and then winning a nailbiter semi final against Uruguay to qualify for a World Cup final, I never thought I'd live to see the day Then in 2014, beating Spain 5-1 in the opening match, oh boy
In terms of things I've witnessed in person, my highlight might be the epic, epic, epic Champions League comeback of Füchse Berlin (handball) against Ademar Leon in 2012. Füchse had lost 34-23 in Spain so needed something absolutely huge in Berlin...where they went on full-attack from the very first minute, won 29-18 and qualified for the Final Four. That was completely, totally nuts. I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

Iceland beating England at the Euro’s. Probably the greatest sports achievement in Iceland’s history. 2018 World Cup qualification was also a big achievement.
Bjorndalen winning the sprint in 2014 to claim the biathlon medal record was pretty great too.

My personal top 3:
Katie Taylor - winning Olympic gold in London 2012 Ireland rugby team completing the Grand Slam in 2018 Donegal winning the All-Ireland in 2012 (only the second time ever that Donegal won Gaelic football's most prestigious title)
It's easy to remember those special moments as they made me feel really happy. I'll need more time to think about a best moment in the general sporting world.

i've many memories to share
Federer winning AO 2017 when everybody thought that he's already done including me actually Egypt qualifying to football WC 2018 after 28 years of absence , yet it was really disappointing comeback but it was a great pleasure to be back again after many upsets which i noticed 3 of them in 02,the biggest one in 2010 and ofc this humiliating loss in 2014 from Ghana London 2012 was a special Olympics for me and btw it's the only Olympic Games i was able to watch in full , all other Olympics i watched 1 week only of the 2 weeks because of travelling and in Rio was because i was at military service and i was very lucky enough to watch 1 week of Olympics , anyway my best 2 moments of London was definitely when our fencer Alaa Abouelkassem defeated Andrea Cassara in men's fencing foil quarters , the match wasn't streamed anywhere in Nile sat , we couldn't even get an online link so i could only followed it from live score and it was a great shock by alaa who went on and qualified to final and lost in a very dramatic way to lei cheng , i was one of the very few people that have bet on Alaa in Egypt before london to make something extraordinary big so it was really special moment for me when he was guaranteed 1st medal for Africa in fencing , the other big special moment came from our legendary wrestler Karam Gaber when he defeated that Big guy from Poland in men's -84 kg Semis while everybody thought that he was going to be eaten alive in this match , the Polish guy was at his very best and Karam was only back to mats just 7 months before Olympics and then Karam wins in a very special way in 3rd period Germany winning 2014 WC was a very special moment indeed after very long disappointments since 2002 especially in 2010 where Germany was a shoulder and half better than the rest but Players couldn't handle stress of Playing against Spain in Semis and maybe they were feeling beaten when this famous octopus chose Spain as the winner before the game , i still remember when i was watching the match at a coffee shop here in Cairo and while everybody cheering for Argentina particularly for Messi a very loud voice came from me when gotze scored the winning goal while everybody looking at me and maybe saying who's this guy that's not cheering for messi and cheering for Germany instead Mohamed Ihab winning gold medal of Snatch in 2018 weightlifting world championship and defeating the Chinese giants and making a new world record very special moment indeed which didn't continue at the end when he won only silver in total due to 1kg only difference between him and Lu Xiaojun Mohamed Ihab brought another very special moment for me also when he raised this 201 kg in C&J in world weightlifting championship 2015 in USA which was enough for winning bronze of total which was really surprising result as he has just shifted his weight category 2 or 3 months before the start of tournament Tarek Yehia winning bronze medal of world weightlifting championship in 2010 in men's -77 kg , the 1st medal for Egyptian men in total in a weightlifting wch since decades after raising this huge 199 in C&J Azmy Mehelba winning bronze medal in men's skeet in shooting wch 2014 was another very special moment , it was our 1st medal ever in an Olympic event in shooting WCH a sport that we've never been at elite international level and and especially because he was struggling during qualifications and barely made the final after shoot-off Ihab Abdelrahman winning 2015 world Athletics championship silver medal in men's javelin and that huge 89m through which i thought it was enough for gold but julius yego has definitely another opinion by throwing this enormous 92 m mark , our 1st medal ever in Athletics senior WCH and it appears to be the last Crazy men's pole vault final in last European championship with 2 players go above 6m was also really special for me again to our local sport and Ahmed Akram winning gold medal in YOG in swimming men's 800m with a new NR our 1st ever medal at any big stage in Swimming internationally and with Swimming again but with Farida Osman this time and winning a historical medal for Egypt in 2017 swimming WCH by smashing AR in women's 50 fly from lane 8 WOW it was a great surprise and great shock as well -

Earvin Ngapeth got arrested once again, and the charges are serious as he was charged with sexual harrasment. Apparently after his team won the Club World Championship in Betim, Earvin went to a restaurant with some teammates and he "slapped a waiter's butt". He claims he mistook her for a friend of his whom he met eariler in Betim and immediately apologised after he realized his mistake, but the woman did not believe him and placed charges against him.

Cruzeiro has some of the worst supporters among clubs in Brazil, so most of the country wanted it to be relegated to a lower division. I have to confess I was among them. I don't feel bad for the club at all.
