No, 2018 Asian games have not been included till now. At present, Asian ranking includes 2017 Asia Cup, 2016 Asian Champions Trophy and 2014 Asian Games. I think they will update all continental championships together only.

There is a decent chance that someone might win a international quota (and not continental one) in Rio WC while finishing out of top 8.

Egypt is favourite to be finish in top 2 in African qualifier and this time FIH has allowed the quota to be transferred to losing finalist in case winner doesn't accept the quota and loser is ranked in top 20. So, Egypt are very likely to qualify as African team. Even if African quota is not claimed, there won't be 8th match. Among the 7 losing teams from the qualifiers, the team with the highest WR would qualify for Olympics in that case.

After the completion of FIH Pro League and FIH Series Finals, following teams are qualified for Olympic games qualifiers: From Pro League: , , , From Series Finals: , , , , , Remaining 4 spots would go to rankings. If any of the above mentioned teams win Olympic quota by winning their continental qualifier, there place will also be taken by next teams in ranking. At present top 4 not already qualified in Ranking are: , , , With Argentina, Australia almost sure to win their continental tournaments, and European winner also most likely coming from the above mentioned teams, an additional 3 spots should be open for teams on basis of rankings. Next 3 in line are : , and Next two in line are and . But they are quite behind in points and it would be tough for them to overtake them in the next ranking update. P.S. should qualify as African team even if they finish second in the tournament behind provided South Africa relinquish their spot and Egypt maintain top 20 ranking. (They have a healthy lead over 21st ranked Poland). P.P.S. I am also assuming that FIH won't impose any more sanction on for withdrawing from Pro League midway. And Pakistan in pot 4 would face a top 3 team (India or one of the top European teams) which would be a mouth watering clash.

I have one request to all the persons who are posting the format for Knock-out rounds and/or starting the contests. If you can link the format post I would be grateful but even without that, just a post informing that I have posted the format, you all can copy-paste that to make your predictions would be immensely helpful.

Genetically, culturally or just skin color? Genetically, I think Indians are their own genetic group with a lot of mixing with Central Asians. Some groups in Central India and Andaman Islands are genetically very close to African groups. Some groups in North East are genetically very close to Mongoloid groups of East Asia. There is some recent addition of Caucasian genes in a small group as a result of colonialisation. Culturally, there is a very small group, mainly in large cities, which think they are whites but rest all are once again uniquely Indian culturally as well. As far as color of skin is concerned, we have a wide variety ranging from pitch black to milky white, sometimes even in the same family.
