  8. Generally a mixed day for us: The Rowing started well with Victoria Thornley winning her Single Sculls heat, and the Men's Double Sculls team qualifying in second in their heat. However, both of the Quadruple Sculls teams failed to qualify, coming third in their respective heats and went to the repechage. The Archery was generally poor. For Women, Sarah Bettles did the best in 15th, with Byrony Pitman in 39th and Naomi Folkard in 47th giving themself tough draws. For Men, Patrick Huston came 25th, James Woodgate 38th, and Tom Hall 48th, leaving none of them in a good place for a medal.
  9. The Men's Archery will be tough. Patrick Huston came 25th and will face Marcus D'Almeida, but then if he wins will probably face Sjef van den Berg, a tough match James Woodgate came 38th and will face Ilfat Abdullin, and if he wins probably Steve Wijler against whom he would expect to win Tom Hall came 48th and faces Md Ruman Shana. If he survives to the Round of 16, he would probably face No. 1 seed Je Deok Kim The team came 10th and will face , if we win this, we face which will be difficult The mixed team came 12th and also faces again very difficult Another thought is that San An 's score would have been enough for 5th in the men's competition, which is very impressive
  10. Svetlana Gomboeva collapsed after completing the ranking round and said it was 'probably heatstroke'. It's 30 degrees Celsius. She felt fine after having some water though.
  11. Looking at the individual arrows, some drop off for Marchenko who was in second at one point.
  12. TEAM GB at Rowing Day 0 Women's Single Sculls Heat 4 - Victoria Thornley - 7:44.30 Q 1st Men's Double Sculls Heat 3 - Graeme Thomas/John Collins - 6:12.80 Q 2nd Men's Quadruple Sculls Heat 1 - Harry Leask/Angus Groom/Tom Barras/Jack Beaumont - 5:42.01 R 3rd Women's Quadruple Sculls Heat 1 - Hannah Scott/Mathilda Hodgkins-Byrne/Charlotte Hodgkins-Byrne/Lucy Glover - 6:20.80 R 3rd Not a bad day, I have confidence the Quad teams will go through the repechage
  13. New OR for in the team as well beating their own OR from 2008 in 9th so will face and even if we beat that will go out to I'd imagine Individually, Bettles came 15th so will face Acosta Giraldo Pitman came 38th and will face Tan and Folkard came 47th and will face Wu Probably only Bettles will go through, where she will face the winner of the Folkard/Wu match, and if she survives that will probably face Jang Minjee who will easily beat her. So I don't think we will do anything in this event. Even if Pitman beats Tan she faces Aida Roman next probably. But I wasn't expecting anything in the first place...
  14. My commentator said that unlike athletics, you're not disqualified for being in the wrong lane unless you actively impede someone else
  15. New Olympic Best for France. Why is it an OB and not an OR though, what's the difference
  16. Well this is... something. 0-0 0-0 0-0 0-0
  17. 2-0 Women's Football It means we have a 100% record at Tokyo 2020 so far, just finish the games now
  18. I feel good about to be honest. We played really nice football but at the same time did not convert enough chances. We'll see how we do against a tougher opponent, but this was a a nice result.
