  1. Canoe slalom competitions do not require insanely expensive venues by default.
  2. Well, it really doesn't seem that IOC wants YOG to be a serious competition...
  3. Well, they don't want people to think that Singapore is a SIN city.
  4. Singapore changed their country code for sporting events from SIN to SGP http://mothership.sg/2016/09/singapore-no-longer-known-as-sin-but-sgp-in-sporting-events/
  5. Sadly there is still no India. I didn't give them points in my previous two participations, but I liked their songs nevertheless...
  6. Looks like having super exotic nation was too good to be truth though.
  7. Turkey proved you wrong. What about Morocco? You also mentioned getting a tip about their participation.
  8. Well, order seems to be vital since there are no names of the countries on the playlist.
  9. We are still missing Guyana too... It looked like their user wanted to participate.
  10. Croatian and Slovakian songs are in the wrong order.
  11. Canadian singer surely broke the long jump World record in that video.
  12. Looks like the added Nacra in sailing. No changes in other sports.
  13. For 3rd athlete one of them has to be inside top 30.
  14. Yep, <100 FIS points means A standard, not top-300.
  15. "Additional" doesn't mean "additional to the basic quota". It's one additional provided that they have enough with athletes A standard.
  16. What's so puzzling? "NOCs that do not have at least 1 athlete with A-standard can send 1 athlete with B-standard." If you have then you can't, if you don't have then you can.
  17. Here it says So you can have an athlete with B standard only if they have no one with A standard.
  18. Yes, having more than one athlete requires that all of them have A standards. Same for alpine skiing. Croatia for example had female athlete within top 300 of sprint points list for Sochi but we didn't get the second quota because we didn't have 2 athletes with A standard. So I have some bad experience with that rule.
  19. Two quotas seem quite unlikely. For two quotas in the same gender you need two athletes under 100 FIS points + one of them has to be inside the top 300 on FIS points list.
  20. There are several small nations that had the same athlete in both XC and biathlon at the Olympics.
  21. Nothing new for a small winter sports nation
  22. And here are the final results of that head-to-head tournament experiment. Heywoodu 1st, Vinipereira 2nd, Africaboy 3rd
