  1. I guess it can seem that way. Though we have to remember that sport is pretty much the only thing that professional athletes do, so taking painkillers and pushing to the limits to survive one competition might seem very logical to them, especially if that's Olympic competition.
  2. finally wins equestrian medal in Rio.
  3. Why doesn't whole Russia also "dope through TUE"? Legal and effective, perfect. And the thought of sick people not being allowed to compete is proposterous. That's asking them to compete only if they are willing to compromise their health but not taking medicine. I'm not familiar with Williams' sisters conditions (although Venus does have a known problem apparently), but for example the medicine that Biles is taking has nothing to do with her physical conditioning, it's just an ADHD medicine she's been taking since the tender age. So, medicine for her nerve system. Also remember cases like Justyna Kowalczyk and Oksana Baiul for example. They were on painkillers when they won their Olympic medals because they just couldn't compete without them after getting injured... And talking about getting a lot of painkillers...Dressage rider Anna Kasprzak competed at European Championships last year with a broken sternum and ribs after a horse kicked her in the chest a day before the start. Doctors gave her 21 different painkillers.
  4. What a semifinal in women's wheelchair tennis. Van Root serving for the match now, but the leader has changed like 10 times in this set.
  5. On a sidenote, you are owning Czechia in the Paralympics.
  6. So Moldova loses all medals from London 2012 (just like in Rio). They have a big problem with doping.
  7. Heywoodu def. Vinipereira and took the lead in the head to head tournament Although, I have slightly mixed reviews as I am only in 19th place instead of 4th (what actually could be the truth based on my Paralympic knowledge when I posted my predictions ). Actually, I'm the only one whose positions changes a lot. Standings
  8. Better see what some actual anti-doping experts say (from Australia).
  9. It's 38 degrees in Rio today.
  10. First gold. Well done Sandra!
  11. Kyrgyzstan topped the medal table with 79 medals (25 gold). Turkmenistan 2nd with 24 (15 gold). You don't see those nations at the top very often.
  12. Although, don't forget that you lost to hckosice in the first round shocker.
  13. He has more wins against tied opponents at the moment.
  14. I'm making a bit of an experiment with paralympic contest results using the Swiss tournament system. Head-to-head results and standings can be followed here. Vinipereira is currently 1st, heywoodu 2nd. Seems legit.
  15. Mereshko was disqualified.
  16. Ukraine is catching GB.
  17. Wow, we destroyed Greece, good play. Spain defeated Italy.
  18. Not necessarily as it seems that her scores are usually much higher. Everyone qualifies for next round.
  19. Wheelchair fencing is weird. Well, fencing without movement is not something I saw before.
  20. Another silver for Brazil
  21. Another perfect prediction in powerlifting
