    With this briliant IOC/IAAF movie, we will be looking to have a record number of nations with 1 (male) athlete. would all have had one male athlete at Rio Olympics had these rules been applied. And a whole bunch of nations would have had fewer female athletes (if any). But hey, now we have mixed gender relay. And surfing.

    3x3 basketball has an interesting quota place dedicated for universality. Only nations who haven't participated in basketball at the last two Olympics are eligible. Therefore, will all be excluded...

    Yay, they cut quotas from small nations. Looks like they can no longer enter 1+1 athletes per default, but rather only 1 athlete. Thank God, Olympics will surely be saved with such measures! Goodbye development of women's athletics in such countries. IOC's "gender equality" is such a scam.

    Complete Swedish team has been announced too... Quite disappointing to see them suddenly ignoring pretty much all non-Olympic events (except endurance). Also, quite shocking to see Sara Algotsson-Ostholt with Wega!! That's her London 2012 Olympic silver medal horse, but since then they literally entered only one true eventing competition (basically to get a qualification)! It should be great to see them again after all that time.

    Alex Hua Tian & Don Geniro, who finished in a historic 8th position at Rio 2016, failed to fulfill the minimum eligibility standards for WEG after yet another cross-country elimination (this time at Campfire International in Ireland)... Who knows, maybe they'll reroute to Asian Games now for a sure gold. Alex however did reach the minimum standards aboard Vivendi, but he won't be aiming for top 10 with that one.
