I just looked at your medals and was shocked to see that you won 8 medals in judo, 3 in sailing and 5 in fencing, so not much potential to improve there. Even 40 medals sounds like a rather optimistic prediction at this point. I wonder if your strength in team sports hurts your individual medal chances, in GB it is the other way round (being almost nonexistant in team sports).

Yes, very disappointing. Not sure in which sports they are supposed to dramatically improve until 2024.

Kaul was on his way to 8750+ points, which would have been enough for gold and obviously wouldn't have been 900 points more than his SB. Also he was already qualified for this event, so he had no reason to put down a serious result all year long (and in addition to that he is 8 years younger than Warner).

1) You must be close to retard level of intelligence if you think that Wlodarczyk can throw multiple meters farther than doped Heidler without doping herself. 2) I think unlike Wlodarczyk Heidler has something else in life than sport (which of course means that she has less incentive to dope) 3) If fat granny Wlodarczyk wins another medal in Paris, it is the last proof anyone needed to see that hammer throw isn't a sport (same is true for Fajdek)

I think the Netherlands will finish ahead of Germany and if Italy continues fluking golds in athletics, they might also finish ahead of Germany (in terms of total medals they definitely could). France is a bit disappointing for me, i thought that they would be better just 3 years away from their home olympics.

0 medals for Germany in hockey and team sports in general is almost too absurd to be true. If you only try to win as many medals as possible, funding for team sports should be cut, but in my opinion team sports are very important for society as a whole, so if anything they should get more funding (especially compared to nonsense sports like luge, bob, canoeing, equestrian or fencing).

Poland, Italy and Netherlands with once in a century fluke performances. At least most of their medalists will be gone soon. Both Kaul and Schäfer could have sleepwalked to a medal without their injuries, Kaul probably would have even won gold.

The result in women's keirin might be the most absurd at the whole games. 3 nobodies noone ever heard of winning the medals. Overall Germany threw away more safe gold medals than even the biggest hater would have predicted.

Disgusting performance by the German team so far, hopefully they will lose all funding. A bit surprising that Russian isn’t winning anything, given that other classic doping countries (Hungary, China) seem to have profited a lot from the pandemic.

1) Yes, but which german athletes (who were remotely elite) were involved? 2) I am not sure if you can win a medal in decathlon/heptathlon without doping. I think that all performances of Kaul are achievable without doping, but i am not sure if it is possible to recover quickly enough without doping to do it all within just 2 days. The other event where it might be possible to win a medal without doping is pole vault. Especially in mid and long distance running it is impossible to medal without doping, considering that a gazillion african people see running as their only chance to earn a decent living and have no problem with doping + their countries don't even try to prevent them from doping. Add in their genetic advantage and it is almost retarded to think that you can beat the most talented of those doped athletes without doping yourself.

Please name the recent doping scandals in Germany (involving german athletes). There isn't any well organized doping system in Germany, this is nonsense. You really think that a country with 1/5th the population of Germany (Netherlands) would be better than Germany in pure doping sports like cycling/rowing/speed skating/track events in athletics if there would be organized doping in Germany (especially with the fact in mind that Germany easily would have the know-how, thanks to the GDR, to outdope pretty much everyone else)? Germany has clearly less doping than almost all the other top nations (except maybe Japan and South Korea) and it is more difficult to dope in Germany that almost anywhere else. Also i forgot Australia on the list, considering their performances in rowing and swimming. Thanks to the GDR history, athletes/coaches who dope would face much more hate than athletes/coaches in pretty much any other country, since those countries don't have the same history. This means that athletes/coaches in most other countries have less fear of doping (since the consequences when getting caught would be less severe). You can also see in other areas that Germany learnt from its history and in some sense overcorrected. After WW2 Germany wasn't allowed to have an army and still today Germany is far less "ready" to enter a war (than countries like France/GB/USA). You can also see that many former GDR doping coaches went abroad, for example british rowing was lead by a former GDR coach until recently and some german coaches went to China (rowing/athletics). Also doesn't make sense to treat Kaul and Warner the same. 1) Kaul has been the best in the world since U18 level, Warner on the other hand improved by 300 points as a 31 year old during the pandemic. 2) Kaul isn't close to world class in any discipline, while Warner is world class in the long jump and close to it in the 100 m and the hurdles.

I never said that the germans don't dope. Vetter, Pudenz and Krause are the most suspicious german athletes. I wouldn't bet anything on them being clean. The difference is that there is no doping system in Germany, it is individual athletes/coaches doping, unlike in other countries (GB, Netherlands, Russia, USA, Kenya, China, Ethiopia, Uganada).

And rowing ... and athletics ... basically all endurance (doping) events.

Yes, them winning 2 golds in athletics instead of zero medals of any color (as expected) wasn't insane luck at all.

The sad thing is that you actually think that you have a point ... not realizing that Baehre's height here (5.70 m) was still better than what Karalis showed at the U23 european championships (5.65 m). Even if Baehre would have only jumped 5.30 m here, those are two different competitions and the whole point was that Baehre jumped higher than 5.65 m pretty much the whole season and therefore very likely would have jumped higher than 5.65 m at the U23 european championships.

"Women's" 200 m and "women's" 800 m were two of the dirtiest races ever, especially Thompson, Thomas and the two brits. Women's hammer throw was far weaker than expected (thanks to the americans flopping) and men's pole vault was pretty depressing without Kendricks. Katir looked very good in the 5000 m, would be too funny if he would actually win gold. Also a great start for Poland, maybe they can indeed get to 6 medals in total (only 4 out of Nowicki/Fajdek/Dobek/women's 4x400 m relay/Andrej... need to deliver).
