  1. Meh, Lennon as useless as ever
  2. Thin Lizzy "Whiskey In The Jar" to begin with... it's the first sign that it's Irish night at the darts
  3. And Woodhouse just bottled it and missed 6 match darts
  4. Michael Smith in trouble against Woodhouse. Could be a shock exit.
  5. Baggish is only 36-years-old! He looks a lot older.
  6. My personal top 3: Katie Taylor - winning Olympic gold in London 2012 Ireland rugby team completing the Grand Slam in 2018 Donegal winning the All-Ireland in 2012 (only the second time ever that Donegal won Gaelic football's most prestigious title) It's easy to remember those special moments as they made me feel really happy. I'll need more time to think about a best moment in the general sporting world.
  7. The third best decade of my life in this century.
  8. @Olympian1010 if you change the title to "Best Sports Moments of the Decade (2010-2019) then I think it will be hard for anyone to argue that you are wrong
  9. But a decade just means a period of 10 years right? So who is to say it begins on 0?
  10. It was a boring evening of darts tbh.
  11. Knowing heywoodu they'll be meat balls
  12. It's not like categorising decades as 00s, 10s, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s is something out of the ordinary so let's for the love of God move on. It's a good topic and I will need to get my thinking cap on
  13. I thought he was very positive tonight.... Interviewer: "Can you sum up your thoughts?" RVB: silence Interviewer: "Can you tell us what's going on in your head right now?" RVB: "Nothing" Interviewer: "And do you have a word for the fans here tonight who have followed you loyally for your whole darting career?" RVB: "I played really badly" Interviewer: "You will be able to look back on your career and say that you did something special in the world of darts", RVB: "Did I?" Interviewer: "There's 4 BDO World Titles, there was the greatest ever game we ever saw in the Circus Tavern in 2007, Premier League Finals, Grand Slam of Darts" RVB: "I lost first round. In my disaster year, I will never forgive myself. Never ever"
  14. I love the sentimental or random things because they become a tradition. My niece searches for her decoration every year on the tree and same for all those really old decorations. Lord knows how they survived because as kids we frequently knocked the tree over whilst playing games of indoor football
  15. Thank you Yes I like that you can see it from outside especially on these cold nights. Plus the coloured lights reflect on the black marble fireplace and it makes the room glow. Very cosy . Btw, some of the decorations on the tree have been in the family since the 1960s . Also, some very sentimental decorations such as one my niece made in school when she was a kid.
  16. I decorated the Christmas tree today And yes, that is Raymond Van Barneveld's reflection in the window .
  17. Day 1 of the PDC world championships .... for me it means Christmas is finally here!
  18. Yes it's the first time that Northern Ireland has elected more nationalists than unionists.
  19. Well I was in junior infants in the very early 90s . But the teacher used to play this and we would sing along. Yeah, we were not singing Britney Spears "hit me baby one more time"
  20. This song reminds me of my junior infants class (aged 4 -5 years old) and singing along to this The Seekers - Morningtown Ride
  21. Yep, been making Windsor knots for my school uniform since I was 12 years old
  22. In this specific example, 211 / 6 simply means that during their innings the batting team scored 211 runs and lost 6 batsmen during the innings. So the number on the left refers to the number of runs scored (211) and the number on the right means the number of players dismissed (6).
