  1. TISC Annual 2020 Announcement So with the Netherlands stepping down from hosting duties in order to focus on TISC Open 2020 preparations, and with Australia having already ruled themselves out of hosting...... ......it means that all top 3 finishers at TISC Annual 2019 have declined hosting rights. What this means is that we are now looking for a new host of the upcoming TISC Annual edition to be held in the early months of 2020. We are officially open to bids and all interested parties are invited to submit a formal application (or just right a message here on the thread to say they are interested ). In order to remind ourselves of the process of finding a new host, please see Section 9, rule (c) below: 9. (c) In the event that the hosting rights are declined by the top 3 ranked nations at the previous edition of the relevant TISC, an open bid process will be conducted in order to award the hosting rights. This process will be open to all candidates, first-time hosts as well as previous hosts. A random draw will take place with each candidate being awarded a number of tickets in the draw. The more tickets a candidate has entered, the better their chance of being selected as host. Here is the process for how the tickets will be distributed: Each candidate automatically awarded 1 ticket each in the draw. However, additional tickets awarded as follows - did not host in the previous 5 editions (+1 additional ticket) - did not host in the previous 10 editions (+1 additional ticket) - did not host previously (+2 additional tickets) - took part in the previous bidding process (+1 additional ticket). For first-time hosts, they will add an additional ticket for each edition they are unsuccessful for in bidding, thus increasing their chance slightly with each unsuccessful bid. This increase will only be available for first-time hosts. Additionally, if a first-time host missed 2 consecutive bidding campaigns, then their tickets no longer carry forward and they lose those additional tickets. So let's take a look at how this might work using the different scenarios...... Denmark bids to host - hosted within the previous 5 editions (1 ticket) Lithuania bids to host - hosted within the previous 10 editions (2 tickets) Serbia bids to host - did not host within the previous 10 editions (3 tickets) Poland bids to host - did not host previously, did not take part in the previous bidding process (5 tickets) Croatia bids to host - did not host previously, took part in the previous bidding process - (6 tickets) Algeria bids to host - did not host previously, took part in the previous bidding process - (6 tickets) The deadline to receive bids will close 2 weeks from now on Friday, 29th November at 21:00 GMT. We welcome all bids and good luck to all interested parties Provisional list of TISC Annual 2020 Bid Candidates: Nation Number of Tickets in the draw ALGERIA 7 CROATIA 7 UNITED STATES 1
  2. Liverpool v Man City is the main event for me today and later will watch Snooker Champion of Champions final and Grand Slam of Darts.
  3. Also illegal here. But you can be sure come every October those teens with nothing better to do always had their hands on fireworks and letting them off everywhere as if it was the funniest thing ever
  4. Just another place for those idiots to set off a firework
  5. Yep, inside the school and even on the school bus... and this would happen often
  6. That was on the TISC history thread I intend to create a new TISC history thread to replace the old one which was created just as quick bridge to make sure the TISC history from the old forum wouldn't be lost.
  7. I have a list of all the entries per nation (minus three missing from the first edition). I'll post them to you later if you want.
  8. And wtf, one slogan says We Are One and another is telling us to Celebrate Diversity. Make up your minds
  9. We Are One is probably the most lame of those listed
  10. The forum is unstable... it's practically on class A drugs these days.
  11. Yes they can host. Just because they don’t create something up to your standards is thankfully not the point. Again, almost no one can create the designs in a way that you can but they are certainly welcome to host.
  12. Why don’t you offer to create the templates for the host? The point is, not many people know how to create elaborate works or even have the time to do it but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t host. Instead of critisizing, why not message them and ask them if they would like help. And if your answer is that you have no interest in making them for others or that each should have their own designs, then what’s the problem? Let them be to do that then instead of always mocking everything.
  13. We're living in a mad world.... I shed a tear for you.
  14. I gave my 12 points to a song where I did not understand a single word and I have no intention of ever learning the meaning of those lyrics. I loved the song and it means it’s own special thing to me. That’s it. Loving music is not scientific, using science or logic to try to decide what song deserves your points is completely alien to me. I have zero systems when it comes to voting, simply listen over and over and see what I connect with.
  15. Ireland has only hosted twice and not since edition 5 . I have given up my hosting rights each time since. And if Netherlands decline hosting duties we will follow Section 9 of the rules to decide the new host.
  16. Latest Pictures From Odense, Denmark @heywoodu has been partying hard tonight. @brunamoura has come to make sure he gets home safely....
  17. Because apparently you are often spotted floating on a cloud up and down the streets of Košice
  18. New entries into the Top 40 All-Time PPJ List: #14 5.39 #24 4.78 #25 4.75 #27 4.68
  19. winning PPJ average was 5.39 This places Caro Emerald - Liquid Lunch" at #14 on the the all-time PPJ average list.
  20. And @Wumo time to take a breath now and enjoy a well deserved break after your fine hosting duties, you gave us all a very enjoyable day here on the forum Thanks so much to all who voted for Ireland, especially Argentina for the 12 points and Egypt for awarding a beautiful bronze . Very happy with our performance and again, thanks to all who at least enjoyed Moya Brennan's song on some level
