  1. That’s true. When I mix politics and sports, from my point of view, I stand for justice and claiming it’s not politics. So maybe no one is playing the game or everyone is playing it.
  2. Haha. It exactly shows how different people have different angles and views towards the same thing. Chinese fans are furious about our talent star lost to a 33 year-old player who also play mixed double paired with his 63 year-old mother. And no one in China will leverage it to the Ukraine conflict or Muslim-Israel battle. But it also somehow explains to me why the West always interfere sports with politics which is annoying for me but total justice for them.
  3. I think it partially because some countries continuously quit tournaments due to Covid (especially East Asian)so IOC wants to stop this trend and hope every nation begins to attend all kinds of tournaments as usual in the new cycle.
  4. Qualification documents begin to release: https://olympics.com/ioc/documents/olympic-games/paris-2024-olympic-games
  5. May I know how do Hungarian think about the China-built Belgrade-Budapest railway? Is it still under construction inside the Hungary part?
  6. For me it's more like USA exaggerated the threat of monthly routine missile launch to smoothly drag newly-elected South Korea government into its arms and justify the relaunch of THAAD defense system in South Korea.
  7. China didn't attend or broadcast the WCH but #Malinin is trending no.4 on Weibo now as the only trending word related to winter sports. His jumping is quite impressive but I don't know he's that popular in China.
  8. Your point is right and I'd love to concentrate on sports. But my emphasis is that to tell it to the troller, not to silence who is trolled and tell him remembering love and peace. When I celebrate our gold medal and your Indian friend starts to spread the Tibetan human rights abuse accusation from out of nowhere. Tell him to concentrate on sports and not just tell me to shut up after being offended.
  9. go to tell @Fly_like_a_donthen, do you expect when I am trolled but keeping silence like dead man? How a saint I am.
  10. Thanks for explanation. For the similar natural condition, China has some Tibetan athletes good at winter sports and long-distance running and race walking. When we celebrates our long awaited medal but others trolling by some baseless human rights accusation, forgive me I don't want to patiently tell the truth, I just want to find some thrilling news throwing back, I can find more bloody Kashmir picture on Internet for sure. If people wants to talk the human rights in a rational way, the whole part even should't appear on this thread at first place.
  11. Like I really care. I just like the blaming game.
  12. Teach me when India has a Kashmir Champion. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/sep/12/indian-forces-kashmir-accused-human-rights-abuses-coverup https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/15/world/asia/kashmir-india-militants.html
  13. And also our first ethnic Tibetan Olympic Champion.
  14. So it's 60% correct and China won no golds. I admitted that I actually thought we may lose the Women's double but the mixed double is unexpected. I gotta say the Japanese female mixed double player Higashino Arisa is a better version now and Axelsen just seems unbeatable.
  15. My guess for the All England Finals winners and let's check the accuracy rate at night Men's single: Axelsen Women's single: Yamaguchi Men's doubles: Fikri/Maulana Women's doubles: Zhang/Zheng Mixed doubles: Wang/Huang
  16. Let's look what Borat's countrymen said about the war
  17. I am really tired of this but I have to follow all instructions. Fortunately my city Beijing is not the center of this wave so nothing too much change for me and basically my life is as usual. Some other cities are under lockdown for 7 days.
  18. I picked Marin instead of other Chinese players mainly because her aggressive way of play pushing this sport to a new level. It’s more like a revolution. I watched lots of badminton games including other Chinese Olympic Champions and I truly think she is in another level and a model to learn and surpass for younger athletes.
  19. I quite like this channel and the opinions are insightful and representative from the young to the old and from the left to the right. I think it truly reflects ordinary Chinese opinion towards the war. And I often watch interviews of other Asian countries from this channel and it's quite fun and inspiring.
  20. As far as I know, Di Zi Jian is provisionally suspended for investigation. But his former partner Wang Chang is going to attend the up-coming tournaments with his new partner and Wang Chang stated he was innocent and not involved into the matching-fixing drama on his social media account. I think we will know the result soon. But quite surprisingly I thought this drama is very limited known by fans.
  21. Not surprise to me. Maybe I am not updated yet but all countries saying yes are from Central and Eastern Europe. Apparently Western Europe take it cautiously when it comes to concrete movement.
  22. But the whole world is watching carefully. If Russia do the Red Wedding thing, the whole world would abandon it, not just the west.
  23. Ukraine also mentioned Baku, for me it's quite fair and showing good faith. It's definitely acceptable for Russia. But there is a but. It's first publicly mentioned by Ukraine so if Russia accepts it would be seen as cowardice and compromise. If they exchange views under the table the thing will be easier. Well let's see how it goes. We all want it happen as soon as possible and no more deaths.
  24. I read from Chinese media that Ukraine agreed to negotiate with Russia in Belarus and Russian delegation already arrived. Hope it’s true and finally see some possibility to end this war. Edit: after 20min, even before it’s shown on the forum, Ukraine already said it’s fake news and the location can’t be Belarus.
