  1. Teach me when India has a Kashmir Champion. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/sep/12/indian-forces-kashmir-accused-human-rights-abuses-coverup https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/15/world/asia/kashmir-india-militants.html
  2. And also our first ethnic Tibetan Olympic Champion.
  3. So it's 60% correct and China won no golds. I admitted that I actually thought we may lose the Women's double but the mixed double is unexpected. I gotta say the Japanese female mixed double player Higashino Arisa is a better version now and Axelsen just seems unbeatable.
  4. My guess for the All England Finals winners and let's check the accuracy rate at night Men's single: Axelsen Women's single: Yamaguchi Men's doubles: Fikri/Maulana Women's doubles: Zhang/Zheng Mixed doubles: Wang/Huang
  5. Let's look what Borat's countrymen said about the war
  6. I am really tired of this but I have to follow all instructions. Fortunately my city Beijing is not the center of this wave so nothing too much change for me and basically my life is as usual. Some other cities are under lockdown for 7 days.
  7. I picked Marin instead of other Chinese players mainly because her aggressive way of play pushing this sport to a new level. It’s more like a revolution. I watched lots of badminton games including other Chinese Olympic Champions and I truly think she is in another level and a model to learn and surpass for younger athletes.
  8. I quite like this channel and the opinions are insightful and representative from the young to the old and from the left to the right. I think it truly reflects ordinary Chinese opinion towards the war. And I often watch interviews of other Asian countries from this channel and it's quite fun and inspiring.
  9. As far as I know, Di Zi Jian is provisionally suspended for investigation. But his former partner Wang Chang is going to attend the up-coming tournaments with his new partner and Wang Chang stated he was innocent and not involved into the matching-fixing drama on his social media account. I think we will know the result soon. But quite surprisingly I thought this drama is very limited known by fans.
  10. Not surprise to me. Maybe I am not updated yet but all countries saying yes are from Central and Eastern Europe. Apparently Western Europe take it cautiously when it comes to concrete movement.
  11. But the whole world is watching carefully. If Russia do the Red Wedding thing, the whole world would abandon it, not just the west.
  12. Ukraine also mentioned Baku, for me it's quite fair and showing good faith. It's definitely acceptable for Russia. But there is a but. It's first publicly mentioned by Ukraine so if Russia accepts it would be seen as cowardice and compromise. If they exchange views under the table the thing will be easier. Well let's see how it goes. We all want it happen as soon as possible and no more deaths.
  13. I read from Chinese media that Ukraine agreed to negotiate with Russia in Belarus and Russian delegation already arrived. Hope it’s true and finally see some possibility to end this war. Edit: after 20min, even before it’s shown on the forum, Ukraine already said it’s fake news and the location can’t be Belarus.
  14. Kazakhstan has always playing good balancing games between the powers and find its position. You can't just see it as Belarus. There are also plenty of ethnic Russian living in Kazakhstan so it's also an alarm for them.
  15. That’s what US do while Ukraine calling for help. And it precisely illustrates why China will never ever listen to what US ask it to do.
  16. Or like Mongolia, Kazakhstan. Have relatively good relationship with US, Russia and China at the same time.
  17. I know that Russia always has ambition to do that. But I think Russia won't initiate a war out of nowhere when it's still weak in terms of economy.
  18. I think many users don't understand that why some people blame US and NATO for this conflict. I will try to explain from my perspective in a moderate tone. It doesn't mean it's right or it's justified to initiate the war. I hope the war could end immediately and no more death to come. It's just people have different view about how it even began. NATO told Ukraine it could be a member in 2008 and Ukraine began its illusion it literally could become a NATO member ever since. So many years, US and other NATO countries never give clear message to Ukraine but give meaningless verbal support. The point is that it gives Ukraine bravery to counter Russia and even write it inside the constitution to become NATO member which is definitely intolerable for Russia. Without solid and concrete support from west, no post-USSR country should ever try this. US gave Ukraine fake hope, fake courage to provoke Russia instead of itself. US is hiding behind a weak proxy with meaningless support. There are some strategy equilibrium between major powers and have to appreciate each other's bottom line. Anyone who tries to break it has to think twice if I can take the consequences. If USA tells Ukraine clearly that I will not accept you as NATO member and if you have war with Russia I will stand by, I think Ukraine will choose to be like Finland and we will not see the conflict today.
  19. What’s the point fighting for there?! So shocking when I read it. We don’t want to see any nuclear leak news tomorrow.
  20. Well, even NATO attacks Russia, I am pretty sure China will not send troops. About central Asia, it's fine by China to see Russia's military deterrent there. As long as China is the biggest trading partner with Central Asian countries and the volume is growing steadily, China should be grateful there is a free-charged security guard to maintain the peace.
  21. If Putin cares about the economy and sanctions, he would not initiate the war at the very beginning.
  22. That's true. China only cares about profit and that's what "important partner" refers to. China doesn't want to get involved into any outside conflict right now and only keep GDP growth in mind.
  23. China backs Russia on anti-NATO expansion and opposes unilateral sanction. But China respects Ukraine's sovereignty which remains unchanged. China always regards Ukraine and Russia both as important partners so basically it will only say something beautiful like urging all parties to resolve the issue through diplomacy.
  24. Does anyone know when will the first version qualification documents published? I thought it will be published on February after some conference during the WOG but it already ended.
  25. Perhaps it requires you live more than 300 years.
