  1. when do you think sports start releasing the qualifying criteria? is it done on a sport by sport basis or do the IOC release everything at same time? eager to get to some qualification events next year
  2. i'll take 10% over 0% (lets go germany!) Better team won.
  3. Shame all the rolling around and time wasting cost Italy in the end
  4. I honestly think that they have gone for continental rankings to make it as safe as possible that they get india, australia and GB into the games on the men's side, ESPECIALLY India which lets face it is the whole point in the IOC putting cricket in the games. There's a bit more risk involved with the women's qualification, but as said above, the strength drops off after the top 4 teams so would have to be quite a few upsets
  5. found an article on the ICC general assembly that suggets that men's qualification will be based on continental rankings with highest place from europe (good news from my british perspective) asia, africa and oceania and USA getting a spot with a world qualifier for the last spot. the women's will be based on T20 world cup qualification....i assume that is the world cup in england next year ICC’s AGM: Olympic Qualifying, 32-Team T20 World Cup And USA Cricket Lifeline
  6. Decent little weekend, Beth Shriever wins european BMX title. There's a couple of rockets in the juniors side, Freia Challis won gold, im guessing she might be too young for LA cycle though Kye white continues to be middle of the pack. Ross Cullen had a nasty crash which is a shame because he probably could have won it. Tom Pidcock rolls up to a MTB and dominates it, perhaps more encouraging is charlie aldridge finishing 3rd Evie Richards remains competitive over the short track (2nd), but allways seems to be in the lower parts of the top 10 in XCO
  7. Innsbruck world cup, Toby Roberts won the boulder event and second in the lead event. Erin Mcniece with a third place finish in the women's lead
  8. Watched both of Henry's race's and she looks great at the moment, did GB send a weaker/smaller team to this event?
  9. is this the right place to ask how on earth do you get to cortina d'ampezzo without having to drive? Are they building a train station there at all? wanting to book tickets for curling but it looks like too much effort if im honest
  10. Flag Football update: The men were Eliminated in the round of 16, but have since won two more games and have made it to the 9th-10th placing match, which for a entry ranking of 15 would be a good showing. The Women were Eliminated by Japan in the QF and will be playing in the 5-8 bracket
  11. Flag football world championship is currently ongoing in Finland, men (ranked 15) have played 3 and won 3 including a win over (ranked 3) They have a round of 16 match against (ranked 10) at 4pm today Women (ranked 4) have played 3 and won 3 and best game was against Panama (ranked 6) They may or may not have a round of 16 game today, waiting for website to update You can watch all the games here IFAF TV and i believe GB men are on pitch 3 at 4pm
  12. Not going to lie, fully invested in flag football now. v was everything you could want from a sporting event
  13. Just going off the rankings but beating is a big win? Also they played a perfect game. These games today are a lot more interesting. The 2 min warning period also isnt extremly annoying because its more tactical in tight games, still dont see the need though
  14. Dan Evans Longest match in US Open history and 4-0 down in the 5th set Did he inherit murrays comeback powers by playing his last match with him?
  15. I was happy they did it tbh because the 2 min warning play is bloody drag to watch when up by multiple scores 🤣 Enjoyed today be interesting to see it tomorrow when the higher seeded teams play, the gb women definitly look the better of the two british sides
  16. Assume you mean GB men v Sweden? i think they just played that way because they were up but so many scores they were just running the clock down known sweden didn't have enough time to get the three scores they needed, they were wiping 20/30 seconds off the clock at a time. GB (men and women) played 4 won 4 today so i can't see where they came off "worse"? am i missing a game?
  17. Enjoying this a lot but the play during the two minute warning kills the flow (kinda like the full tackle version as well). The half is 20 minutes long, the first 18 fly by and then the last 2 minutes take another 20
  18. QB has an absolute cannon of an arm
  19. I've literally just started watching but im going to guess for turnover purposes? If they intercept then they need to have the flag stripped? but i havn't watched a game or read the rules so....
  20. The men's 3x3 team were ranked 12, and made it to the quarter finals when they were beaten so finished top 8. Hope this is the start of an upwards trend in this sport, in the QF they got into foul trouble very early and i don't know if its me but i thought they were a bit show-boaty compared to some other matches i watched?
  21. WOW Final day of the U23 part of the world championship and that was a pretty impressive show Women’s Four Final GOLD! Men’s Four Final GOLD! Men’s Quad Final 6th Men’s Eight Final GOLD Women’s Eight Final GOLD! We had 10 GB crews, 7 Made Finals, 5 of which won gold. Both eight crews and four's dominated. The final U23 Medal table looks like 5 0 1 4 1 3 2 1 1 2 1 0 2 0 0 1 3 0 1 2 1
  22. Over the moon for Ben O'Conner today! (not only cause i got a bet on him at 9/1 when he was in the break) i can't help but feel he got done dirty in the netflix documentary so want to see him do well, hope he can hold it together and make BORA and the others really work for it now
  23. Rowing World championship Day 4. I wasn't going to track the under 19's since LA 28 will probably come to early for them, but meh ended up watching them anways U19 Men’s Pair 3rd > Rep Women’s Pair 2nd > Final Women’s Four 1st > Final Men’s Four 1st > Final Men’s Eight seeding race > 1st Women’s eight seeding race 2nd Women’s Quad 3rd > REP Men’s Quad 2nd > SF Women’s Double 1st > SF Men’s Pair REP 2nd > Final U23 Men’s Pair B final 1st Women’s Pair Final: Gold (Holly Youd/ Anna Grace) two names to definitely keep an eye on, they dominated. Women’s Quad: Bronze 2 Medals from 2 finals, 5 more in the U23's to go
  24. World Rowing Championships Senior Women's lightweight single sculls Rep 1st > SF .........................................................................................................................
