  1. And like 3 years ago, here i am watching water polo clutching on to the dying flames of the Olympics wishing it we had another week. Week 2 was underwhelming but hopefully we can bounce back in L.A and have more champion's like we know our team is capable off. I have enjoyed having this forum to share the experience with as well, and look forward to following the progress towards 2028 (and 2026 winters of course, but its not the same) maybe create a review topic for tomorrow? Winning more medals than tokyo, very good! Winning significantly less golds than expected, bad Finishing below netherlands and other sporting rivals, very bad and hopefully the shot in the foot we need going into the next olympiad
  2. Very odd bit of riding from Georgia Baker, started in silver with 108, finishes with nothing on 108
  3. Hugely dissapointed in our track cycling team, looks like after their main focus of TS and TP the management have just said "go out and enjoy it" for the rest of the events. Guess this is what the end of the win at all costs era looks like
  4. If anyone is wondering why GB are so bad in the track this week, trust me we'd like to know as well, an archibald injury is only an excuse so far
  5. Let me guess finucane is ill as well Flame goes out later today, GB's went out a week ago
  6. Or a Neah Evans sliding down the track sadly out of contention after one event
  7. Double whammy with hassan winning the marathon we gonna get done by the netherlands in the table
  8. Last day and the broadcasters still zooming out to see what paris looks like from the moon as crucial things happen in the race
  9. Come on girls! Top 20 you got this! Hooefully they run up hills like a mountain goat
  10. Athletics: Any Brits in the top twenty? YES Ceremonies: Who is/are the flagbearer(s)? KJT and Tom pidcock Cycling Track: Any golds? NO Modern Pentathlon: Gold? YES Weightlifting: Does Campbell get a medal? NO Disclaimer* These are not my real opinions ive just answerd the opposite to what cjsavory has said 🤣
  11. Interesting that all the dutch screaming for carlins head have been very quiet about their madison team since what looks like a clear targeted hit on oliver wood
  12. If they can steal a top 5 place somehow tomorrow it'll rescue the reduction in gold, 16 i can live with. 14 just isn't enough, and no amount of plucky top 10 finishes will change that for me. And at the same time rescue track cycling from the hard questions they are going to face if they return with just one gold. Thinking of the likelihood we don't get another gold, Sweden just beat germany which i think stops them getting above us, italy can't....do netherlands have anyone outside of men's track kierin?? South Korea need two don't they, i dont think thats doable.... i cant see france getting another gold, so it is in our hands
  13. All sweden beach volleyball team aren't we ot Depends if she just goes out there for her jollies like the mens endurance squad since the TP, Carlin shows much more fight but against the big 2 he's pretty much fighting for bronze
  14. Ignore golds, can we pick up four medals to equal most, 67 from rio? Finucane, girls in modern pentathlon so two more? Omnium at a stretch.....is that it? Oh weightlifting (edit)
  15. Story of our games unfortunatly, so close but yet so far
  16. The french guy was going to die a slow painful 150m death, he was coming up like the missile on mario kart
  17. Camera's going to pan back after the relay to see Kerr crawling on his hands and knees panting towards a 1.90m bar
  18. I mean anyone who watches a lot of track cycling, and i know you do, knew exactly how that austrian attack was going to pan out 30 laps or so later. It was a terrible tactic and I'd have been happier with GB doing that than what they did, which was nothing. Maybe they were outclassed, again, thats a very bad look if that's the case because any combination of GB riders should be challenging. Tell me at which point in that race they showed a desire to do something, (the sprint points aint it, they were just following wheels)
  19. I mean they have literally done nothing, picked up points by accident, never attacked, they had no intention of going for a medal in this event, i think that is clear and undefendable.
